Havana Night at the Del Mar Fairmont – An Unforgettable Experience! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Havana Night at the Del Mar Fairmont, what an incredible evening! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was electric, filled with vibrant energy, stunning decor, and the perfect blend of music, culture, and elegance. What truly elevated the night, though, was the exceptional service, especially from Sean, who went above and beyond to make sure every detail was flawless. He was extremely attentive, making sure we were always comfortable and never without a drink in hand. His friendly, kind, and professional demeanor stood out in the best way. It’s rare to encounter someone so genuinely thoughtful and committed to creating a memorable guest experience. If you're looking for an immersive night of fun, flavor, and festivity Havana Night is a must. And if you're lucky enough to be taken care of by Sean, you’re in for an unforgettable treat. We’ll absolutely be back!

This experience had so much potential. While the setting is wonderful and the food is good, the service is absolutely horrendous. I would never have expected that at a Fairmont. We started by ordering chips and dip. It arrived 40 minutes later. That level of turnaround continued for the remainder of the evening. The staff kept delivering food that we had not ordered. It was clear there was a lack of organization as we noticed the same happening at other tables. When we FINALLY received our bill, it included all the items they tried to deliver that we had not ordered. It took at least 45 minutes to get that fixed and pay our bill. Also, be aware of ordering drinks that are not on the menu. We paid $43 for a manhattan. Such an unfortunate experience and not what I would ever expect from such a high end property.

They should focus on trying to liven it up a bit. The singer was great but just an acoustic guitarist. A band would fit the space better. We did love the seating and firepit though!

Great for families with kids. We came with friends. We had the stone fruit/burrata and the baked Brie and both were low on flavor. To be fair the bar was high bc all the other restaurants on the property are amazing. Drinks were ok. Better to head into the bar to eat and drink and just walk the grounds later. The music was ok. It was just 1 singer with a guitar.

The staff is wonderful. The ambience is very special, I highly recommend everyone come and listen to the music and enjoy making family memories.

the hotel has a great concept having a live salsa band for entertainment and a space for dancing, however except for the excellent band the execution was terrible. The dance space should have been a portable wood floor, but was unfortunately artificial grass which was uneven and could have caused injury. People come out to latin music events to dance, not to sit and listen. The waitstaff was either inexperienced or indifferent. I had to go to the cooking area to ask multiple times fr some one to serve us at our table which was dirty. The waiter was actually going to place our salad on the obviously dirty table before I asked him to clean it. It felt like they waitstaff was intentionally avoiding eye contact with the guests and were in no way as attentive as would be expected. In addition, the menu was extremely limited and way to expensive. $19 FOR A PEACH SALAD? (OLD PEACH) $27 for a mushroom pizza the size of a plate that took 30 minutes to bring to the table? $14 for lemonade?

We enjoyed reserving the fire pit and the food was great. My grandson had the pepperoni pizza which I enjoyed a slice which had the perfect ratio of pepperoni to cheese to sauce on a yummy crust that tasted like fresh baked bread. Lately if a pizza is slathered in pepperoni, it tastes too salty to me so this one was delicious! I had the Caesar salad which was like a fine dining variation with sourdough croutons crumbled with an obvious house prepared dressing from scratch! I also opted for the Mexican style corn which was also fantastic. We finished off our meal with s’mores; after all, can’t let the fire pit go to waste. Our server Grace was the best part of our dining experience, friendly and professional! The music was Latin beats with a salsa lesson even in the midst of the beautiful landscape of the resort. We loved our first experience at the Fairmont Grand Social and hopefully not our last!

Not the greatest experience that I had. The waiter at the front had try to upsell me with a cabana for a single person. Then the manager told me there was a $300 minimum for drinks, may I have to reiterate that this is for one person. I decided to not have dinner due to this service

This was a total bust. The hotel is amazing but not this outdoor experience. 1)The woman at the check in was oddly irritating, trying to sell us an upgrade to fire pit seating before anything else. 2) Its not ice skating. The "rink" was very small and full of young children. It felt over crowded, so we chose to skip it. 3) My family wanted to play ping pong, but their was only one table. As we watched others playing on it, we noticed the ball was broken and so was one of the paddles. 4) No heaters near the bar / food area (or anywhere I could see). 5) We stayed inside the venue for less than 10 min before we left.

Please provide public parking or include parking in your ticket price. We didn't try the food. A glass of wine was $28, there isn't any value in anything that was offered. We won't be back. Ambience was pleasant.
