Food and service was exceptional! Crawfish beignet and puppy Drum were outstanding
Grand Isle used to be one of our favorites so we paid a visit while we were in town. It seemed that the menu had been paired down significantly. We were disappointed by the menu choices. The food was ok but could have been better for the price. We did enjoy the raw oysters. Not sure we’ll be back.
There are so many good restaurants in New Orleans. I would not put this on a must eat. However, it is very nice, casual and fun.
Food was excellent! Great intro to local dishes. Loved the recommended crawfish boil and jambalaya cakes. Manager was SO personable and helpful. Fantastic!
It took a long time to get served initially, so much so that I went up to the bar myself to order drinks. It was quite evident that there were not enough serving staff present as our server was extremely busy. The food, however, was wonderful, and the portions were generous.
They were closed
Love the smoked fried oysters!!!
We ate here for Valentines Day on a trip to New Orleans for Marci Gras. We arrived at our reservation time and were immediately sat. Appetizers and drinks came quickly. Loved our server. Our entrees took too long to come out; however the server was apologetic and attentive. The food was great. Everyone ate something different and was pleased. We would definitely go back.
Fantastic food. I am from New Orleans and it was my first time eating here. I brought 6 guests had friends bring another 20. They all raved about the food and service. I recommend this restaurant to anyone that is looking for a great restaurant!!!!!
Great service and quick delicious food
Food was mediocre. The fish stew was disappointing. Beer was fine and the atmosphere was fine
We ate with four people. The space was spacious and quiet. The employees seemed cheerful and enjoying their work. All the dishes were not too big and, in general, delicious.
Wait staff handled our party of 12 efficiently while presenting a positive attitude!
Great place for lunch. Nice ambience. Lunch was great!
Amazing service. Kid friendly and welcoming. Our first experience with oysters and we had a blast watching T teach us how to shuck the oysters and explain all of the different preparations.
Championship weekend so the place was packed but the service was great and the food was awesome. You will not leave hungry!
Excellent choice for local seafood, great drink options and wonderful food. We plan to return to enjoy the food here again.
Service was bad and the food was quite average at best.
The redfish on the half shell was very good, but a little salty. Loved the pecan rice that came with it! One person ordered the special burger with a fried egg for $18.50 and it came out overcooked. We had asked the waiter to let the kitchen know in advance that we didn't want it charred, but it was anyway. It took 45 minutes to get another burger out, so we didn't get to eat together. It wasn't charred, but very pre-formed and processed. On the menu, it sounds so good with brisket and short rib, but I wouldn't recommend it. Two of us had the fish, so overall we were happy with our meals. Husband wants to mention that the wood tables need something to cover them because they're sticky. That's a bit of a turnoff.
Great food and service excellent crawfish beignets would recommend to others.
Server was excellent, menu was limited and portion of scallops was small but tasty. Drinks were excellent as were the oysters
Great service great food.
It was the first time they had scallops on the menu. They were very good over pureed parsnips. Others ordered the satsuma salad with chicken...also very good. The chicken strips were especially good with a really grilled taste and flavorful, which is unusual when you get chicken over a salad.
The redfish on half shell was some of the best I have ever had.
Great experience! We had three adults and 4 kids. The server took care of the kids first while the adults enjoyed their cocktails. Good food and good value.
I have no words with how bad the experience has been. We waited for the food for over 2 hours and then proceeded to wait, it smelled horrific, and there was food issues. The waitress was very sweet, but it’s clear things are not organized. The kitchen was way behind. I would not recommend to anyone.
Kids first time to Nola!
Pricy and not all that. Couldn’t make calamari and the onion rings were greasy. Dinner for 4 was 156.00
Fun place for great food. Redfish was excellent and the steak was prepared exactly as ordered.
Drinks were great. But the food had a higher price than what it was worth.
Great food and service. Great happy hour and dinner (we went twice)
Good food and great service.
Horrible. We received notice from Open Table, that our dinner for four at Grand Isle was not available for my Open Table points! What good is a Open Table and their relationship with Grand Isle? Never again for this traveler, I will move on.
The portions were good sized. Food was tastefully served. Service was excellent. the prices seemed higher than expected.
Nice place with casual feel and New Orleans gate.
Nice place and friendly attentive staff. Tried to change reservation in Open Table on website and it dropped out. Had to make second. When I called hostess to check, she could not find it. Not sure what went wrong.
Made a reservation for 2pm (listing says kitchen is open until 4pm for lunch) and called to say I was running 10 minutes behind, was told no problem. When I showed up, the host expressed surprise that I had made a reservation as he said the kitchen was closing today at 2pm. He checked with someone else and I was told sorry, we’re closed. Had I not called I would be less upset but that is just poor customer service. You should know if your kitchen is open or closed if you are a host answering the phone.
Delicious casual seafood dining
Nice place for lunch, everything was good. I had the shrimp sandwich. The location is close to Harrahs. I think this place could be great. It was pretty empty when we went there , so it was comfortable.
