Grand Amari is a traditional Italian dining destination inspired by the food traditions of Italy, fine Italian wine, and amaro. We are working with pasture raised proteins, seasonal local organic produce, and highlighting the quality of handmade products. Simplicity and care in our approach is key. Start your evening off by perusing our extensive wine list while enjoying a platter of scallop crudo with a glass of grower Champagne. Follow that with our delicate handmade pastas, then indulge in a thoughtfully crafted main course. Don't forget to get a bottle of Barolo with your bistecca! Wrap up your dinner with an array of Italian desserts and our indulgent amaro cart and menu.

    Great experience. We did the family style option. Server (Mike) was knowledgable and made dinner an event. We look forward to our next visit.

    Absolutely fabulous experience at Grand Amari. Our pre-dinner Manhattans were wonderful. The food delicious and well prepared. The service incredible. Our waitress was very good but the restaurant manager knowledgeable and extremely attentive. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

    The manager or owner that we worked with was extremely accommodating and nice. The inside and outside patio are very cute and comfortable. The waiter we had wasn’t great. Very slow. Quick with her answers when asking for recommendations and overall not very attentive. They charge an automatic 20% to their staff, plus an additional 3% that comes before the 20%. So you are paying 20% of the 3% as well. The food was served cold. Small portions for the price you pay. Drinks were also expensive. Probably wouldn’t go back for cost and service.

    Great food andgreat staff, especially the sommelier. The noise level was very low making conversation with my dinner guests easy. Most places have someone’s playlist blasting in your ears, Grand Amari does NOT. Thank you for that!! I will go there again!

    Katherine the sommelier is very knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations on the wine. Food and service were excellent.

    One of the best meals we’ve had in Portland recently. Food, locally harvested, and simply prepared was exceptional and the raw scallop salad a revelation.

    Focaccia with anchove butter was amazing. Charcuterie plate was equally great. Duck Ragu was impressive as was the duck entree.

    Great restaurant and staff. Amazing cocktails as well. We had a pre-drink in the lobby bar and then a meal. The waiter was great and had great recommendations. Food and drink a bit on the high side for price but overall a great experience.
