   I really enjoyed the food here and our server was amazing. I think my biggest callout was that the service was pretty slow. Also, the portions of the food are fairly little in comparison to the plate prices. I wasn’t expecting that at an Italian restaurant. But the food was good!

   I had a lovely birthday dinner at Grand Amari. The highlight of all was our server. Sadly, I didn't ask his name, but he was just perfect in is attentiveness and friendly manner: just right, and not too much. Please thank him again for us. Good recommendations from the menu, patience with our indecision, and great wine suggestion. The restaurant is lovely, and I can never understand why it isn't busier. But that does make it quiet, which is fine with me! We had delicious salt cod raviolis, a light and bright salad, delicious Babette steak and delicious focaccia. If I could change one thing, I beg you to bring back the tablecloth!

   Our server was knowledgeable and helpful. All items, salads and pastas were cooked well and seasoned right. Only the affogato could use improvement, the ice cream was too complex for the coffee.

   Excellent food and service. Not a great location in town but the restaurant made up for it. We will return.

   The endive salad is more abstract art than food. The gnocchi's were delicious.

    I have been to Grand Amari twice now this month, stopping by Little Bitter Bar first copy, and I am so happy to have found this place! The service is excellent, the food delicious, wonderful, cocktails, and the ambience is perfect for a romantic evening or a dinner with friends. I frequent many restaurants in Portland, and always have a problem with the noise level, particularly music, making it difficult to converse. Not so here.Grand Amari hits all the right buttons.
