Amazing food and service! It was very expensive...maybe overly so. We went for a very special occasion and it was a bucket list experience since I'm a fan of Gordon Ramsay.

Our waitress was above average. The food, however, was horrible and way too expensive! I had a ribeye which cost around $75 also which was tough & poorly seasoned. I’ve had $18 ribeyes at Texas Roadhouse that would run circles around that steak. Very disappointing. The lobster bisque reminded me of a Metamucil drink. The loaded baked potato was just a pile of starch & carbohydrates totally lacking character and flavor. The Truffle Mac n Cheese was a pitiful offering as it was barely warm with lackluster flavor. The crabcake lacked the delicate balance of breading vs seafood which would make it a true crabcake. It was just lumps of seafood packed together tightly in some unimpressive mixture. It also lacked flavor. Our waitress, to her credit, realized that the meal was quickly “going south” and brought me a small portion of lobster risotto. Aside from the embarrassingly small $23 side portion of king crab legs, the risotto was about the only thing I had to eat that was relatively decent. My husband and I generally don’t make a practice of sending food back to the kitchen, but in this instance, we just had to do so. Our meal could’ve easily cost close to $250 which in and of itself is not a problem if the food is good, but there was no way we were going to pay over $200 for horrible bland food! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes lukewarm food totally lacking in distinctive flavor and/or texture. Our meal and dining experience at Eddie V’s on the Plaza the prior week far overshadowed this dismal experience. Despite the coronavirus Gordon Ramsay needs to make a return trip to Kansas City, taste some of the drivel coming out of the kitchen, and make some immediate changes! Hopefully, Gordon will be able to make some improvements so his restaurant doesn’t go down the same path to being closed like 37 Steak did.

It was a great atmosphere
However for a big night such as our first wedding anniversary I probably would have tried somewhere else.
It was extremely slow with long waits for drinks and other items . Steak and potatoes were burnt unfortunately kind of messed up our vibe for the night because I was slightly complaining to husband. Not sure if I will try again waitress was very nice however

Our dinner at Gordon Ramsay Steak was about as good as I expected. First, Siri had the wrong directions to Harrah's and got us lost for 20 minutes before our reservation. Secondly, our appetizer, the Lobster Rosito was pretty good. Our lobster tail was incredibly overcooked and we had to use a fork and knife to cut it, so that was a tad disappointing. The servers only came around once to ask how everything was before we even had a chance to cut into our lobster so we didn't find value in mentioning it. Lastly, our entrees were delicious. Overall, we decided that Gordon Ramsay Steak was more about the experience than the taste of the food. The food was as expected in terms of taste but nothing life-changing or breath-taking- unfortunately.

Food was over cooked. Took over an hour to receive the meal. It was like Hell's Kitchen. Kept serving bread, water and wine for a distraction.

Fabulous experience! The entire meal from start to finish was perfect. We could not have asked for a better evening. The staff were all very professional and made us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant. The food was indescribably delicious, we enjoyed apps, steaks and desert. Cocktails were amazing as well. We will definitely return many times!

The food was fine, but for me it isn't worth the price. For four people the bill came to $635 with tip. My expectations for this dinner was to have flavors above and beyond anything I've had before, and for better or worse those expectations weren't hit.

We got three ounces of the Japanese Wagyu to share for the experience of having it, and for $35 an ounce it just wasn't mindblowing. I had really high hopes that it'd be something I've never tasted before, and maybe my palate isn't sophisticated enough to appreciate it, but I've had the same flavors and textures with cheaper cuts.

I had the beef wellington which I enjoyed. I appreciated the difficulty of the dish after having tried and failed to make it myself.

Another at my table had the salmon which was cooked on the skin, and unfortunately it wasn't as juicy as what I've had elsewhere.

The other two had a chicken dish and an American wagyu steak. They tasted fine, but nothing next level.

We also had a foie gras appetizer, and for me it tasted like the batter you'd get at a Chinese restaurant. Something on the orange chicken or sweet/sour chicken.

It was worth doing one time to solidify that I don't need that expensive of food. I've been curious about foie gras for a long time, as well as wagyu in general, and I satisfied my curiosity.

Very nice restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. The only issue we had is not fault of the restaurant. Google maps took us thru the industrial area.

Overall the food and experience was good. You’re paying for the experience. I was disappointed with the service. We had a two top table on a Monday night, it wasn’t busy at all, took 15 minutes for our server to come to our table. Overall we were there for over two hours and it wasn’t by choice, that’s just how slow the service was.

I would maybe go back for a special occasion once a year or every few years.

For the price I was expecting to be blown away. The food was just ok. We were seated in a middle table for two with uncomfortable chairs, slow, pompous service. The best thing was the lobster risotto. The American Wagyu filet was slightly overcooked, the mushrooms were rubbery for mushrooms and the potato mash was lacking salt. Glad I tried it but don’t need to come back when KC has better steak houses and you don’t have to go through a smokey casino to get to it.

Ehh. Very expensive steak restaurant. I should note that the service was outstanding. It's inside Harrah's Casino. You have to walk through a long smoke-smelling casino to get to the restaurant. Not steakhouse smoke, but cigarette smoke. The menu is comparable to Eddie V's or Ruth's Chris, but, not as good. The prices are equal to or above the other steakhouses. It was a one-off visit for me. I'm happy that I tried it, but I have zero desire to ever go back.

Like a lot of people who love Gordon Ramsey, I had to try his restaurant. Now I understand why he is such a perfectionist. He wants to make sure all hi guests are treated special.
Everything was wonderful. The wait staffing was friendly and very knowledgeable. They were very attentive and made sure our water glasses were filled throughout the meal. I had the Beef Wellington and it was wonderful . The Wellington was cooked perfectly. It came vegetables and pureed potatoes that was buttery and delicious. My husband had the filet with mac and cheese and he thoroughly enjoyed his meal. We ended the meal with the toffee stcky pudding with brown butter ice cream which was so yummy. I was afraid it would be too sweet but it had just the right amount of sweetness to end the meal. This was a great dining experience and we will return.

Gordon Ramsey restaurants are not an inexpensive place to eat. You go there knowing you're going to spend a bit, but the steak is absolutely worth it. The only complaint I have is the ends of my beef wellington, there was an excess of puff pasty, so it didn't get cooked all the way. It was a bit doughy at the ends. The meat was cooked to perfection though.

Went to gordon ramsay steak to celebrate my 10 year anniversary.. The food was excellent.. My boyfriend had the 32oz porterhouse steak and I had the 8oz filet both were great.. We both had the loaded baked potato and we shared the mac & cheese they were excellent.. As my BF put it the steaks were good but the potato & mac & cheese stole the show.. It was a bit pricey but we knew that before goin and wasn't disappointed at all..

Our server was great and very attentitive.. Would definitely recommend goin and checking it out.. We plan to return..

The lobster in the lobster risotto was rubbery and over cooked. The ribeye steak we ordered was place to be Medium rare and it had very little pink in it.

Everything was very good, and although we both had beef and thought it was great, our favorite thing was the loaded baked potato and the onion soup (I’ve ate it all over the world and this was the best I’ve ever had). Pricey but worth it!
