Gordon Ramsay Steak - Horseshoe Casino Baltimore
Me and my three family members had an excellent experience at Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant. Our waiter was superb and so was the young lady that worked with him. I would not have expected anything less from Gordon Ramsey. We appreciate everyone who worked hard to serve us.
Overall enjoyable experience, drinks were really well made, food good flavor and substantial portions. Service was great. The only thing that I didn’t like is how close the seating is...hard to have a conversation.
Overall our experience was pleasant but the value for the money can be had in this area for far less. Our meal was very good but I can get a "very good" steak and sides for a third of the cost at many very nice local restaurants. Our servers were pleasant and my desert was excellent. I feel the atmosphere is average. What really kills this place is that it's connected to the Casino which in my opinion, isn't being maintained. It was a week night but literally no bars on the casino floor were open. There is trash and dirty carpet in the elevators. I was dining for a birthday dinner next to a family in sweatshirts and spandex. This just doesn't make you feel like you are somewhere special enjoying your $200 meal. My caesar salad didn't appear to be the freshest and I've had much better brussel sprout sides at Clyde's in DC. I got the restaurant week steak and my filet was better than my husband's $75 wagyu filet. I can't help wondering if guests who are giving this 4 stars are from out of town or just don't dine out much in the area. I won't be returning. I would recommend Mccormick & Schmidt, Fogo or Ruth's Chris for your special night out.
Crabcakes are not good. Rib eye was very fatty. Pork chops was really good as was the chicken. Market salad is really good. Good place for a special night out but not the greatest value for the money.
Once again, I had a great experience at Gordon Ramsey’s restaurant! The recommendations that were given by our server were delicious. I will definitely be back!
Enjoyed the food, ambiance and, especially, the service by MIZAN. Thank you very much!
I was really looking forward to dinner here because I love all things Gordon Ramsey. My husband and I decided to splurge on a luxurious meal for our anniversary. Unfortunately I felt like some of the food wasn’t prepared correctly. The risotto, scallops, and steak were undercooked in my opinion. On the other hand, the onion soup was delicious as well as our desserts. Also, the staff was sure to tell us happy anniversary on a couple of occasions and we were greeted with champagne which was a sweet touch.
The beef Wellington is amazing! We really loved the Brussel sprouts too
The reason for the lower score was because when we were leaving we saw a picture of one of the entrees we bought and realized we did not get the side that was supposed to come with it. It was the beef wellington, it is supposed to come with potato puree and carrots. There were no carrots. It's a small mistake but for the price you are paying it is a little disappointing. Everything else was perfect, i would still recommend going.
Definitely held the standard I was expecting for the value. Every single person we encountered on staff was kind and helpful, and made sure to say happy birthday to my wife. Thanks GR steak!
Food and service was absolutely excellent! The toffee pudding dessert might be the best thing I've eaten! All of the courses of food were prepared to perfection. The prices are a little high but the food quality it extremely high. You should definitely treat yourself for a special occasion.
Love this place betheny Arron awesome
Wonderful dining experience, best restaurant at Horseshoe Casino. Great service, excellent food, yummy desserts!
It was a great experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The music wasn’t to my taste but the atmosphere was good. The wine cases and dry aged meat cases were very nice. As was the steak cart where they explained the cuts. I was slightly disappointed they didn’t have the house cocktails for sale. The staff were very well presented neat and tidy. The food was outstanding quality. I had the beef wellington which was cooked perfect no blood but still pink. The pastry case was beautiful. My missus had some fish dish and was very impressed with the shrimp. My only criticism of the Wellington would be I would’ve liked more mashed potatoes. All in all it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend to anyone
I was disappointed with my visit to the restaurant. The food was awesome no complaints there but service I was not impressed with especially considering the high standard Gordon Ramsay always advocates. I had noticed that the waiter was asking the people at the table next to us if they wanted a dessert before they finished there entree. He then did the same to us and I made it clear I had not finished my entree yet and was not discussing desert until I had finished. I then noticed he put the check on people’s table as they were being given there desert. The restaurant was not full so it was not like they were rushing to get your table filled again. Our meal with tip cost nearly $250 and this was only for appetizer and entree and two cocktails and two coffees. If I am paying this price I do not expect to be rushed through my meal and I can’t think of a restaurant where I have been asked what desert I want while still eating my entree.
Ridiculously overpriced for the quality of food. I was disappointed because i had such high expectations, don't bother ordering the Wagyu, the lamb chops are great choice along with their truffle fries. Wish it was in a different location and not that trashy casino.
Main course and service was great. Our dessert was less than expected. When we received our sticky toffee pudding it was very hard, almost burnt. We mentioned it to our waitress and she quickly got us a new one. We would have never known the difference but we have had this specific dessert at other Gordon Ramsay restaurants and it just wasn’t the same. Other than that, everything was great!
The food was heavenly, and our waitress Sarah made our dining experience irreplaceable! The rest of the staff, while I did not catch their names, were also very attentive and cordial.
Overall great experience. Waiter was great, food was delicious. Nice place for our anniversary.
Great food, awesome service, loved the whole experience
Expensive and meat was not outstanding
The service was amazing. The food was unbelievable. We brought our 1 year old and we were a little scared she would be fussy and loud. ( she wasn’t). We can’t wait to go back again.
My boyfriend and I came to celebrate his promotion at work. We are hard working and don’t get to eat this finely often. We were shown multiple steak cuts and then after we ordered said they were out of the ones we ordered. Then said they weren’t pleased with the baked potatoes at this time and couldn’t serve ours and minutes later we watch one be served to the table next to ours. Not to mention my steak was ordered medium and came out rare which the manager acknowledged and asked if I wanted it put back on the grill, but at that point we were ready to leave. The whole time this loud table next to us is screaming that they are going to walk out and throwing their napkins on the ground as well as loudly complaining about their server and food. Management then comps their meal and brings them a dessert platter for their trouble. Same manager notices they’re disturbing the tables around them and asks us if we want to move tables right after we were served our meals. For the price, the food was not appeasing and the management was even worse. The only positive was our server.
Beef Wellington was excellent The loaded baked potato was great my wife got the lobster risotto and she said that the lobster was tough and the risotto taste like macaroni and cheese over all though that experience it was nice
Gordon Ramsey is one of those restaurants where you go when you either: (1) want to be impressive, (2) celebrating a special occasion or (3) you happen to be a fan. No other way you can justify the bill you'll be hit with at the end. Atmosphere was pretty nice, food presentation, also nice, noise level wasn't too bad, but not exactly quiet either. Food was good, however, I don't feel like it was worth the price tag, especially the steak I ordered. My appetizer (lobster risotto) was delicious, so was my Caesar salad. My steak, although tasty, wasn't worth $72. My companion had the 8 oz filet, which he said was delicious. Service is super slow, although the wait staff are pleasant and attentive (when they happen by your table). I probably won't eat here again but also will not discourage anyone else from trying it. Like I stated earlier in my review, it depends on what you're dining criteria is.
We traveled 3 states on a food Road trip. Hitting 3 steak houses in 3 nights. We had very high expectations for this night. After eating at all 3 steakhouses this one came in 3rd. Service was average. With my Beef Wellington being just ok. So over all we had a great night and we can say been there did that. Next time I will not get the Wellington and see if the steaks are better.
Our server was Tiffani. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. However, the service was extremely slow. The shrimp cocktail, crab soup, and lamb chops were excellent.
Perfect Night Out.
This was the best steak I've ever had. If I could give it 10 stars I would!
The service was impeccable. The steaks were fantastic. The only thing I have to say that was not perfect was that it was informal than I expected. When I think of steakhouse, I think of white tablecloths.
They brought water, bread. Waitress finally came and was ready to take our order and we hadn’t gotten a drink but she said you said you didn’t want wine. Well I didn’t want wine I wanted a drink.
Got crab legs appetizer they weren’t good. Steak (filet) was to be cooked medium I think over done and the other filet was to be medium well it was beyond well.
I’ve eaten here many times and the other night Christmas Eve was not on point to me as in the past.
Phenomenal dinner. Couldn’t recommend it enough.
Iv been having my anniversary dinner there 3 years now and it's gotten better every year .
So... unfortunately they have made some changes that are not great. For starters they have massively downgraded the bread service from what they used to offer. Second the menu has changed and prices have increased. The quality of most of the dishes is pretty good. Not great however and the portions are very small for the appetizers, for example the gnocchi dish is good, more like a beef stew but very very small portion. Steaks are good but not served hot enough and on cold plates. Lastly the service from the hosts to those who take you to a table is inconsistent. Our last dinner my wife got the wrong dish and it took over 40 mins between apps and dinner to arrive.
It is so yummy! Worth every penny! Highly recommend! Only disappointment this year was the change in bread. We did not care for the old bay, honey butter. The bread that they previously had was much better.
First time there and had a great experience, food was amazing as the service as well. Will be back for sure 👍🏽
Love the food. Had seafood platter which is a must do and of course the steaks were excellent. However, accouterments to beef Wellington were cold and pork chops were very dry. Sticky toffee pudding was as excellent as ever. It was a special occasion which I noted on reservation but don’t think my son was made to feel special. It was a celebration of his college graduation and we were brought champagne while he was brought a mock tail bc he looked young — did anyone read the note? Led me to believe that the champagne was being provided bc the service was taking an extraordinarily long time vs in honor of our special event. Had been to Gordon’s before and unfortunately for us, this time was a let down.
Unfortunately a disappointing evening.. steak was returned overcooked and when a new one arrived it was undercooked. Family had Beef Wellington which was delicious.
Great experience! My family and I watch many of Chef Ramsay’s programs on television and have always wanted to try one of his restaurants. It did not disappoint! Everyone, from my picky nine year old to my wife who loves seafood was extremely satisfied with our meal and experience. The highlight of our stay in Baltimore. We will return again!
Atmosphere is nice. Server was nice, knowledgeable but very slow with drinks. We waited almost 30 mins for our first drink and we were the 4th table seated at 5pm. Everything else was delicious and timely. Waited another 15 mins (lemon drop and beer) for second drink. Bar or Server need training.
