Gordon Ramsay Steak - Horseshoe Casino Baltimore
Service was slow. My wife’s beef Wellington was over done. The food was good, not great. Not worth the money we paid.
Not as pleasant experience as in the past. John was our waiter, did not get order right, we had to wait for our sautéed spinach, we wanted baked potatoes one extra butter the other loaded ingredients on the side, one came out with loaded ingredients on top. Then had incident when John was wiping off place mat he hit my glass of wine in my hand so it was all over my outfit, all he could say was it got on him as well( unexceptable). So you would think he would bring my wine, no, I had to ask for it, keep in mind I had only had one or two sips out of the glass prior to it being knocked over. He really did nothing to correct the incident, such as offering to pay for my cleaning bill, or as simple as saying meal in the house since our night wasn’t perfect. Still not sure why these things were not offered, hope it had nothing to do with the color of my skin.
All in all, everything was very good with 1 exception. Being a steak house, I would think there would not be issues with the temperature of the meat. My husband ordered medium rare and the steak came out Rare. No excuses here, and it took almost 10 minutes to get the steak back.
This really did dissapoint us.
Service was excellent and the food in general was good.
It was very pricey. The food was good but not exceptional. I was expecting to be wowed but I was only pleased. For the cost, I wanted to be wowed.
Amazing!! My husband and I both love Hell’s Kitchen and Gordon Ramsay in general, so for our anniversary we went here! We figured since the military brought us here, we should do all the cool local things we can before we move away!
They even gave us free champagne for our anniversary:)
My husband got the New York strip, medium rare (which he never gets lol) but it was the perfect mix of brown, pink, and a warm red center. I had the salmon which was amazing with the jalapeño purée on the plate. We had a side of truffle fries as an appetizer which were the bomb!!
Overall it’s amazing and you need to go here if you’re around Baltimore!!
Price inconsistent with offerings. Many nearby choices of equivalent quality at lower price. Otherwise fine.
It was the worst. It was our anniversary and my wife had to send her steak back because it was overcooked. We didn’t have this problem the first time but for this occasion it was horrible. They brought out another steak but at this point dinner was done so she packed it to go. Very upsetting because it was our anniversary.
It was my birthday, and the food was on point and the service was outstanding
The pork belly was a little on the dry side. My beef Wellington was not what I was expecting after watching all of Gordon Ramsay's shows on TV; it was not served as he expects it on those shows. The sauce was on the mashed potatoes, not the beef. I ordered a soda and it never showed up. I would not return.
I would highly recommend this steakhouse... the steak was worth every penny (or should I say dollar).
The service was wonderful. The entire meal was wonderful.
Our waiter Mizan was incredibly kind and knowledgeable! The food was amazing. I will surely be returning!
Absolutely amazing food and service. Lovely atmosphere. Just a wonderful dining experience!
I took my wife to Gordon Ramsay Steak to celebrate her birthday. It was everything we hoped it would be. We ordered the tasting menu which was absolutely delicious. Truly felt taken care of, staff was amazing. We traveled almost two hours to go here specifically. Worth the money and the trip!
After one and a half hours, our food finally got on the table. The table was shaking, the waiter kept ignoring us. Food was okay, I really can't tell. After one and a half hours waiting, I really can't tell because I'm staring!!!!!! Won't recommend any people to this restaurant again
Was just expecting more compared to his other restaurants.
Amazing food recommend everyone to try it.
By far, one of my best culinary experiences!! I obviously ordered the signature specials and I was so glad I ordered those. The presentation on steaks and the thought behind giving us recommendations on what to order / what combinations of drinks and food work well we’re fantabulous! My only regret : I didn’t have Chef Ramsay to say hello and to pass compliments to. LOVED it!
Excellent food, ambience and service. Thank you!
We visited here on our anniversary and had a great time. The host staff and the wait staff were excellent and very attentive. I finally had the beef Wellington and I enjoyed every moment of it. The Lamb chops were perfect as well. I will definitely be back. Hopefully we get to meet Chef Ramsey next time.
Amazing! The staff was kind and helped us celebrate our anniversary is a great way.
Perfect experience from start to finish
This has been the second time in a row I have had an awful experience here. It took 1:20 minutes to get an appetizer and then when it finally arrived it was overcooked and burnt. For the entree, I ordered the Beef Wellington which came out with a soggy doughy crust. Finishing out the meal with a sticky toffee pudding which thankfully was delicious. The server was nice but service was painfully slow and the food was not worth the wait. For the price and a second time in a row with a bad experience I will not be returning again. What a shame.
I love this place - this was the 2nd time I have been here and the food and service is exceptional. You won't find a better steak house in Baltimore.
Loved the food especially Mizan’s excellent service. Thank you.
As always, the food was great and our server was amazing. This was my 3rd or 4th time at the restaurant and I can't wait to go back again. I had the lobster and risotto for my appetizer, lamb chops, spinach, and a loaded baked potato. The lobster and risotto was my absolute favorite. The portion are large enough to share but why share when you have leftover for tomorrow. By the way, it was just as good the next day. If you get a chance definitely check it out. It's pricey but definitely worth it!
This is my second visit in a row where my steak was overcooked. The crab cake also sat in the window so long that aoili solidified
We had a drink at the bar when we arrived. While they were eventually polite, it took over 10 minutes for them to acknowledge us. Despite the restaurant being empty, the hostess came over to us at the bar and said (in a curt manner) “if you cash out here, I’ll take you to your table”. Our server at our table, Jon, was very polite and offered to have the kitchen split the grilled romaine we were having. That needed more dressing and seasoning—it was very bland. One of us had the beef cheek gnocchi. There were 3 pieces I’d gnocchis in the plate??? I had the salmon which was prepared perfectly and was excellent. The truffle fries were also excellent, but we didn’t taste any essence id truffle. Probably not going back. It’s a shame they couldn’t get the easy things right and it’s expensive.
As always, everything was outstanding. We'll be returning soon.
First time there the risotto lobster was amazing
The beef Wellington was very good
Very good service
I treated my sister-in-law out for her birthday, she’s still talking about it. We were very impressed with the service and the food. Will probably be back soon have more birthdays to celebrate.
My third visit to GRS at HSB was as great as my first visit! The service is wonderful. The food is so very delicious. Thank you to everyone that participated with my experiences!!!!!!!
First - OpenTable - I didn’t miss my reservation. I’m here and they didn’t seat us for 40 minutes until they came and said “are you waiting for a table?” - even after confirming my name.
Aside from the horrid communication skills of the hostesses, the food was great, the table service awesome, and the free dessert from the reservation issues was awesome.
Everything was delicious.
We enjoy our meal and our server was great!
Great service as usual. My husband always enjoy the NY Strip. I normally also get a steak. Today I tried something different. I tried their short rib. It was beautifully prepared. But not my favorite.
Great place for nice dinner out.
I took my husband for his birthday dinner and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing service was spot on and the atmosphere was romantic. I will return in the future .
Always a wonderful Dinner at GR. Our Waiter, Mizan, was very attentive and made for a very enjoyable evening.
The food was great however I wanted hot lobster and they only had cold lobster because the steamer was broken so my experience wasn’t as pleasant as the first time. I recommend you getting a backup steamer for times like that always nice to have a spare.
This was a special occasion meal, so I splurged on a high-end steakhouse even though I generally prefer to buy and prepare my own steaks, since I am really picky when it comes to fine steaks. But having just watched Gordon Ramsay judge a steak competition, I felt comfortable with his understanding of the important nuances.
We were a few minutes early, and chose to grab a drink at the bar. The bartender was rude. I just ignored it, but my date was offended on my behalf. I will say, that at $12.50 apiece for two vodka tonics at a not-busy bar, I expect better.
Table was not clean when we were seated and there was a large gouge on it. My chair was also not clean (crumbs?
The server was polite but didn’t know what the wines were which were included in the half-off bottle sale.
I asked for ice in my water, and was brought a glass of ice with a teaspoon. Which resulted in an awkward and messy process of transferring ice from one glass to another.
The bread was probably great when fresh, but was not fresh at 8pm. It was served with an odd little pat of butter decorated with a line of black finishing salt which made it hard to use.
The steak presentation was neat, I liked the wheeled mirrored cart. I was super-excited by the gorgeous rib-eye which I asked be very well seared and medium-rare inside and ordered three sides. My date chose Gordon Ramsay’s “Signature Dish”, Beef Wellington.
While waiting for my entree, I stepped outside for a smoke and chatted with another diner who is a restaurateur in DC. It was just the type of relaxed chit-chat one makes in such situations.
When I returned to my table, the food arrived and after tasting everything, I requested finishing salt. No offense to the chef, but it’s just about impossible to season a cut of meat that thick. I was really surprised when the server brought me tiny little salt and pepper shakers (like you get on airplanes)
Everytime we go to the restaurant, the menu is different.
