Cocktail lounge lacked any atmosphere and did not feel welcoming. Once upstairs in the lovely restaurant the atmosphere improved and the view is great. Food was ok - perhaps expected it to be a little slicker from the GR brand. Most annoying thing was the low rent doof doof music - it really cheapens what I thought was supposed to an elegant dining experience. We wouldn’t go again.

Had heard great things about this restaurant, but the reality was, it was only so-so. Have had much better food at other similarly priced restaurants. Disappointing!

Food service was extremely slow. We waited an hour after we placed the order. We never saw the waitstaff except to place the order and then to collect our checks. Drinks were never refilled. Steaks were over cooked but after an hour we ate them as delivered. Poor experience and passed up a lot of restaurant that would have been better.

Late lunch reservation for Fathers Day! Big fans of GR but had not yet dined at one of his restaurants. Great table by the window. I had the pre fix lunch (corn soup, beef Wellington, sticky toffee dessert), husband had lobster risotto & the steak sandwich. Food was good but not sure worth the price. Service was okay, not great. Entrees took a LONG time & were not hot. The mashed potato’s spread out on the beef Wellington plate presented nicely but it made them very cold. The waiter (Devon?) at the table next to us seemed excellent. Very thorough with his description of every detail. Ours was not & did not expound on anything or have a sense of urgency. Experience was fun for a special occasion but unlikely we will return.

I'm a repeat guest and the food was not as good. as it has previously been. This experience was disappointing compared to my previous visits. The Lobster Risotto is a staple and mine was cold and it took too long to get the second one. A $40 appetizer should ALWAYS be right. My special Father's Day request was ignored until I brought it to the attention of my server who took care of it despite my reservation clearly indicating it. Cliental has changed and it seems more like a common spot with shorts and tennis shoe patrons . I called ahead to inquire about any Father's Day menu specials and there were none. Most disappointing was the fact that I couldn't get the brussel sprouts because they are only prepped for dinner service. The overall quality of the food and limited choices don't justify the cost. Way overpriced to give anymore chances, Can't justify a $250 bill for two to have low quality food,. Our server was GREAT and was the bright light to the day. I won't go back.

The staff was very friendly. The appetizers and kids food came out fast, but everything was luke warm when it got to the table. We waited nearly 30 minutes after appetizers for our main dish. I ordered the lobster risotto from the appetizer menu as an entree. It was just warm enough to eat half of it warm, and the rest cold...and it is a very small dish. We ordered a kids cheeseburger, and it came out without cheese. It is just a kids cheeseburger - there's no veggies or condiments on it, how do you forget the cheese? Our server never checked on us. I had to search for him and flag him down for cheese, and refills. Then I watched the woman with our refills stand and laugh across the restaurant with our drinks on a tray. We sat there with our cold food, waiting on the refills that we had already needed for 5 minutes before we could even ask for them, our server is doing something else, while another person is chatting and laughing with the drinks we're waiting on. The food tasted good, but not good enough for what we paid. Our server was nice, but did not deserve the service charge that is automatically added to the bill, and the restaurant does not deserve business unfortunately. We will not go back.

Slow! Food was great but at 11:30 on Fathers Day Sunday and not yet crowded it took 10 minutes to get tap water, first drink came with first course (old fashioned), second drink (wine) came with dessert. The food was good but took forever to order it and no urgency to check on the table. Place was beautiful with a great view but super slow. Price was high and 20% service charge only half of which is tip is annoying but DC typical. I spoke to a friend that has recently been to the one in Vegas and he had the same experience. Food is really small except dessert, I think everyone does that now! They could have made so much more and kept us happy with a sense of urgency coming to the table and getting drinks out timely.
