girls dinner! It was great! Cocktails were awesome
We used to absolutely love this restaurant but the quality of the food has gone down very quickly. They took the steak off the menu which is a huge mistake. We come there to get the steak because it’s one of the best in the city. They also took several other other top entrée items off the menu. We do love our server and he is the best.
The food and service as always was top notch. A great place with great food and a wonderful staff. Truly, one of our happy places
Best burger I've ever had!!
Awesome fresh food with good service!
Out of towners looking for a dinner spot on the night of a game day. Found Goose & Elder as an option outside of the chaos. It was quiet with fantastic service, great food, and an unbelievable atmosphere. So happy about this choice, and highly recommended by some young visiting New Yorkers.
We had a lovely brunch here. The grits were incredible with the pork added. The French toast was unique and very tasty. My friend who got the avocado toast was hungry, which was the only downside of the meal.
I loved my hamburger, as did the rest of my party. The only reason I gave it four stars is because I found the menu limited.
My wife and I have been here for dinner before and the food was quite good but I took a group of friends there for lunch and 5 of us had hamburgers… 𝗮𝗹𝗹 of which 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝕆𝕍𝔼ℝ-ℂ𝕆𝕆𝕂𝔼𝔻 (and they'd been prepaired using a sous vide)
Just grabbing a quick bite before we headed out for the evening. Sat at the back bar with Nisha and it was great.
Small menu but everything they do they do well!
The best burger in town and fries! Shishoto peppers are amazing!
We loved our time at Goose and Elder! Fabulous food!!!
I went to dinner with my friend and my mom. Mom and I split the cheeseburger and fries, which were good. Loved the fries - crispy, salty and delicious! The goose sauce was good although I can’t describe it really. We also shared the curry Brussels sprouts and cauliflower (good), nachos (yummy, they’re really Fritos with cheese and fun stuff piled on top, including pork) and the jalapeño Mac and cheese (wonderful). Nice beer, wine and cocktail list. Would go back there for a friends’ gathering or casual date. It’s right across from Findlay Market so that’s fun. Recommend making a reservation in advance.
The photo is of the elderberry margarita, which was wonderful!
Our server, Max, was very friendly and was able to answer all our questions and provided some great recommendations. The food and service was amazing. The steak was cooked to perfections and the flavor was great. The small "big" salad was very tasty and my wife and I split it. We are looking forward to coming back. We love all of Chef Jose Salazar's restaurants.
Some of the best brunch I’ve had in Ohio! We loved our experience!
My husband and I ate at Goose & Elder before an FC Cincinnati game, and we will definitely be going back. We started with the cheese sticks that were fabulous and had a great sweet chili sauce instead of the traditional marinara sauce. I found out that they were hand breaded, so I knew they weren't pulled out of a freezer. My husband had the Chicken Schnitzel over buttered noodles, and it was delicious. The chicken was large with a large amount of noodles. It is definitely unique and apparently not commonly found at restaurants. I had the Big Salad with grilled chicken, and it was great! It had a lot of little additions that made it special like, a hard-boiled egg, cherry tomatoes, olives, and seasonal vegetables. It was served with a house vinaigrette dressing that was delicious. This was a great option for anyone looking for a light and healthy entree. We were so glad that we discovered Goose & Elder, and we highly recommend it.
We had reservations on a Saturday at 10a. I assumed it would be packed, but thankfully it wasn’t at that time. We had a window table and were well taken care of.
Got seated. Never was waited on. Two large tables came in many many many minutes after us. They saw prompt service. See them for the 3 and 4 star reviews. We left.
Small and quaint with fairly simple seating but nice and light with a nice view of Findlay Market. The service was very attentive and while the menu was small, the food was excellent. Especially the chicken schnitzel!
nice location just outside of Findley market
Service very good - food we had very good
We had a great time on a Monday night!
Goose & Elder is a quaint neighborhood restaurant that is larger than it appears from the front. I was surprised at how many walk-ins were being turned away on a busy, sunny, Sunday morning, especially with 90% of the tables vacant. The food coming from the kitchen was very slow... We waited about 45 minutes for avocado toast, fruit salad, a Cubano and fries, but it was very good. Our server was efficient, but another spent a lot of time organizing and reorganizing the serving area versus waiting on customers. There's no doubt that restaurants are struggling for servers and staff.
Zac and the wait staff at G we recommend!
Every one was so kind and helpful!
Goose and Elder was perfect for a casual date night. Really friendly staff, good food and drinks!
Service was great. Friendly and fast.
The food was amazing. We enjoyed sitting outside taking in the neighborhood sights and sounds.
We really love the food at Goose and Elder. They have great entrees and appetizers. They also make great desserts and also serve a fabulous brunch!
Everything is always great. Food, service and drinks.
The quesadilla and creme brûlée were fantastic!!! Will try it again, maybe my experience will improve.
Attended during Restaurant Week! Food was amazing!!
Food was fabulous and the service was prompt and welcoming!
Nice place, great service. Food was really good - burgers and fries to duck
Early service for dinner but front and back of the house worked great. Understaffed for a short time but did very well.
Enjoyed for Restaurant Week. Service in the back bar was a bit shaky.
Awesome! Came for restaurant week and will definitely be back.
Went during Restaurant Week, and while the menu was not extensive, everything was done well and tasty.
The staff was great - so friendly and accommodating. They seemed to need a bit more staff there though. Food was really excellent. I hight recommend it!
