Good Omen is a family-owned Northern Italian restaurant with a seasonally rotating menu in the heart of Zionsville and co-owned by mother-and-son partners Nicholas and Diane Gattone. With a background in fine dining in places as far-flung as Chicago, Nantucket Island, and Tuscany, executive chef Nicholas is bringing his knowledge of modern Italian food and wine and a commitment to hospitable dining to his native Midwest. Join us as we showcase wines from all around California. We will provide our usual fare of focaccia, olives and charcuterie meats, however, Chef Nicholas will also be smoking a brisket to pair with those California reds! The tasting will take place from 3-5 pm. Come and go as you please and mingle with other wine enthusiasts like yourself over sips of some of really amazing wines! So bring some friends and come thirsty! Pouring stops at 5pm SHARP, so come in early enough to get through them all :) Instagram (@goodomenindy) for more information! We have been to Good Omen a handful of times and generally have a nice experience. They did take our favorite dish off the menu last year (a NY strip entree) but we decided to return and try new dishes. We had the new NY strip entree, the papperdelle dish, and fried olives/sausage and all were well-prepared and tasty. I gave it only 3 stars, however, because they added on 5% to the bill for the kitchen staff. Honestly, increase your prices and pay the staff what they’re worth. Stop asking customers to subsidize your payroll when kitchen staff’s rate is more than the wait staff.

All courses of our meal were fantastic and the service felt very personal. This restaurant is cozy and intimate. We had a great experience and will certainly be back.

The food was very good. The menu was a bit confusing. Food was very rich and filling. A little went a long way. I was not overly impressed with staff. Not very friendly. Not mean just bland. We sent back the focaccia and no one seemed to care But overall food was great and came quickly always hot

Food is always solid and innovative; people who don’t think they like goat cheese love the goat cheese ravioli with peas, a sweet carrot purée and scallions…. You can never go wrong with their beef dishes, and the homemade gelato (especially the pistachio) is amazing. Of course, the menu standbys that never go out of season (olives with fennel and sausage appetizer, create de gallo duck bolognese) are fail-safes. Love this place!

Service was great. Sat in the bar area, which was a little less noisy. Burrata salad, pasta, dessert, and Chianti were delicious. Highly recommend Good Omen.

We have many excellent meals at Good Omen, but last night’s, course for course, was the best so far. Chef Nicolas prides himself on the use of what’s fresh and in season. Last night was no exception. From the very fresh and tasty East Coast oysters to the strawberry-rhubarb crostata with bay leaf gelato, each dish was outstanding. We’ll call out the very seasonal things: the squash blossoms with herbed ricotta, the goat cheese ravioli with English peas and fava beans, and the roast poussin special that included a nettle dish and purple potato mash. So good!

Fantastic dining experience. Limited tables which makes it feel special. Leisurely dinner with experienced wait staff. Lovely wine list and thoughtful dishes.
