Great food. Only one server who was rushed and unable to keep up clearing tables and serving. Sitting at sushi bar was much better than tables as the sushi chef took orders and served. Getting drinks and clearing of plates was slow due to overworked server. Walked in to see many dirty dishes on empty tables. Rather unappealing.
Excellent quality. Unusual and creative dishes. Very much worth a visit.
It was not as good as we expected. Food was OK. Service was good. Staff was friendly.
Excellent food and great service as always
Was staying close by and found good reviews so my wife and I came for lunch. We started with some nice bottled beer from Japan. We ordered spicy tuna roll and a rainbow roll. The rainbow roll was very good, but in my opinion, the spicy tuna missed the mark. I have very high standards, so it is rare for me to like spicy tuna at most places. View of the ocean was beautiful and the traffic noise along PCH wasn't bothersome. Was nice seeing the passenger trains go by.
Restaurant was not very busy yet service was painstakingly slow. Our appetizer was delivered at end of our meal.
We ended up here on Easter and had a very nice lunch with some great sushi choices and unique Japanese craft beer choices. The Waterview is fantastic but unfortunately you're stuck with a lot of traffic and Street noise since it sits across from the water on the street.
Service was really slow. There were only 2 tables including us so I can't imagine what the problem was. The only waitress seemed to be kind of "out of it". She never checked on us except to deliver food, our drinks were empty pretty much the whole meal. The sushi was just ok, the rice on all the cut rolls was loose and fell apart before you could grasp with chopsticks. The view is really nice and there's a patio area. I won't return and wouldn't recommend.
Nice place. It was valentines and I think the whole place had 2 servers
Upon arriving to the restaurant, we had an opportunity to choose seating according to preference. We chose to sit at the table facing the windows in order to have a good ocean view. The windows definitely need a god cleaning as they were hazy. Also, after waiting 15 minutes, we had to get up and walk over to the sushi bar (even though it was only a few feet away), because we had not yet received menus. Finally after getting the menus, another 20 minutes passed before we had a waitress greet us and take our drink order. Please keep in mind that there were only 3 tables occupied at the time of our visit, so being busy was not the answer. The sashimi and sushi were "okay." I could have gotten the same type of product from the local grocery store sushi box.
The food was very good. Nice ambience. Great view of the ocean. Andie was a great server.
Unique, delicious sushi rolls with an incredible view of the Pacific.
Yelp was accurate about this restaurant. We had a party of 8, and they were able to accommodate us. Parking in the back of the restaurant helped, there was also street parking available. Great food options, even the kids in our party were happy. I definitely recommend this hidden gem!
Beautiful ocean view and good food!
I went to very hot day, my white wine bottle get warmer so quick. if they had a wine cooler for white wine bottles it will be better .
Love the LN location and thrilled they opened this second restaurant right across from the beach. Excellent starters - our favorites are the yellow tail crudo and poke. Always have interesting daily specials so make sure to try something new. Our top rolls are the Maneki, samurai and the crunch. Even the chicken teriyaki is fantastic. On our last visit I wrote in the reservation notes that it was my sons bday. They brought out mochi for him which was super yummy. Hostess and waited were top notch. Can't wait to go back.
The sushi wasn't bad it just wasn't great. Ordered a sashimi plate $30 was very suprised at how little amount of fish for that price.
