Amazing Israeli and Middle Easter cuisine with an unformal setting. The quality of food is out of this world and the service is great, as well.

Food was not good. I’m surprise the restaurant was in a Michelin Guide. We arrived at location and the hostess (Bibi) was great, the tables are very close one to another, music was very loud to the point we couldn’t carry a conversation. The service was slow and the food came all out of order… the salad and bread were the last items served. The waiter didn’t know what the food that came to the table was and seemed overwhelmed and confused. Price was ok but we had a huge expectation and left there very disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend that place to anybody.

Goli was a fantastic dining experience, different than any restaurant we've visited during five weeks traveling in eastern Europe. The menu, including the cocktails, is unique and very creative. Lots of small shared plates, most of them vegetarian, from which you can create a full meal, as we did. Inventive use of peppers and fresh herbs to liven things up. We did not order mains (a couple fish and ~3 meat) as the 5 tapas/appetizers we ordered were plenty for two, and allowed room for a cocktail and glass of Hungarian wine each, and a shared dessert. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. I recommend reserving seats at the bar as the best way to appreciate the kitchen and bar action, a show of its own. Knocked off one star for ambiance (music was unnecessarily loud) and value (a tad high, but worth it, given the full experience. ) Highly recommended for open-minded diners. We had a very memorable time with fantastic food.

The waitress told us that we will get each meal separately. A guy showed up and he wasn’t even sure if he was coming to the right table. He came back after a while and told like :”it is very hot outside isn’t it?” Instead of asking about the food. After a while a third waiter showed up and put our main course on the table, we were in the middle of the starter. The pack of bread come on a paper bag, which was not cut, but fortunately I had a knife with me. Than for the second portion of bread we waited 15 minutes. The head waitress told us that they have a group of fifty people. In the end when I paid the waitress didn’t even ask if the evening was ok. The food is nothing special, I ate much better Middle East Cousine even in Budapest, compare to Israel… I will never visit this place again. Most of the things they could have been do better( communication; organization; representation; and attitude)

love the concept. Started out enthusiastically which was fun. Labneh was the absolute winner with the bread. We had cocktails, tried a wine sample and never saw anyone to take the wine order again which was fine since a choice between Hungarian and Israeli wine is really not a great option. Sorry but not so much. You really need to offer other wines as well. Meant to share. Ordered a corn not realizing it’s really just a corn on the cob. How do you share that? Apparently, gnaw on half and then pass the other half to your dinner companions? Also super messy since it’s cooked in the husk which we do all the time at home, just would do outside and not to share. Had chicken Schwarma which was good. Initial greeting was super right on but after ordering, had a hard time flagging someone down because they were sort of busy and I think our person was covering inside and outside. So like the idea, just get the labneh

Tiny portions. I’m traveling solo and I understand the concept of shareable plates. I ordered the silken tahini and the chicken schwarma. The tahini dip was truly terrible and the schwarma was good boiler plate schwarma but nothing that would warrant a Michelin bib gourmand rating. Spent over 40 usd and could not have been more disappointed. I really rely on Michelin suggestions. Michelin rethink this one. The service was truly Luke warm.
