Goli was delightful. The food was delicious - it was the best chicken shawarma I’ve ever had and all of the dishes were delicious.

Goli is a fantastic spot in Budapest with a cozy, stylish atmosphere. The food is delicious, with great vegan options alongside inventive dishes for all tastes. The service is friendly and attentive. With its special ambiance and top-quality menu, Goli is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!!

everything about our visit was perfect, from the food to the service to the staff. They made our evening wonderful. The manger Jus was amazing . Would highly recommend Goli. The flavors of the food and attention to detail was special!

Absolutely disappointed. I booked a table at this restaurant based on multiple reviews and recommendation by the Michelin Guide as well. Alas, looks can truly be deceptive! We were a group of 4 visiting from Germany. The service personnel were very polite and warm, had us seated quickly and explained the concept of the restaurant. We ordered five dishes to start with - Bread bag, Labneh, mushroom potato cigar, Oyster mushroom with sweet corn polenta, and Sage burning into grilled potato. For drinks, we got two cocktails and one mocktail. Now for the positives: the Rozata cocktail and the Labneh were the only saving grace. Negatives: everything else was simply not good. The food simply lacked a punch/impact that one would normally expect at such restaurants. Having “adapted” the food to suit European tastebuds cannot be an excuse for such unflattering dishes. Oh, and the presentation was so nonchalant and least inviting, see attached pictures. Needless to say, we didn’t order anything further, and left hungry. I hope the food was better in the past, else the Michelin Guide Bin Gourmand recommendation is simply shocking. I will definitely not recommend this place, there are much much better restaurants in Budapest!

Most of the food is burnt as a statement, to the level that makes it impossible to enjoy. Even unburnt parts are tasting like ashes, and what was not burnt just simply was not good enough. Tiny dishes that are overstated in the description. Below average service lacking any hospitability skills. Everything felt cheap but was expensive. Marketing is on spot, but not worth the money. Budapest has so much more to offer than this in quality for less. Michelin guide spot is completely unjustified based on our visit, especially the Bib Gourmand distinction.

Our dinner at Goli was one of our favorites in Budapest! The food is creative and interesting, but elevated. There are lots of vegan/vegetarian options but also plenty of meat dishes. The servers were charming and gave wonderful recommendations.

The food was fantastic—delicious, authentic Middle Eastern flavors. The atmosphere was thoughtfully designed, with beautiful furniture and decor that really set the mood. However, the service felt a bit rushed. As soon as I finished a plate, it was taken away almost immediately. Within minutes of finishing our meal, everything was cleared from the table. I’m not sure if this was intentional, but it gave me the feeling that we were being encouraged to leave. A bit more space and less interruption would have made the experience even better.
