They were very shortstaffed so our food took longer than we expected, but everything was delicious. We had steak frites, arugula salad, and orecchiette.
The food was wonderful and the service was excellent!
The wine selection was good, and I had a quality Pinot Noir with dinner. The dinner menu was somewhat limited, but I felt this helped the restaurant to concentrate on producing quality, tasty dishes rather than catering to every taste. That was certainly true with my burger, which was well cooked and seasoned properly. I had grilled asparagus as a side, and this was also well prepared. Eating outside provided a beautiful view of this area of Santa Barbara. Would definitely recommend and eat there again.

The food was good and the patio is beautiful. The overall experience was a bit disappointing. We made a reservation for 8pm as that was an option when making the reservation. Fortunately we arrived a few minutes early as we were promptly told the kitchen closes at 8pm. We were rushed to put our order in so we could have our dinner. The staff, while friendly enough, seemed a bit lost as to what to do with us. We felt like an afterthought.
We spent 3 nights in Santa Barbara and visited Goat Tree 4 times! Such a lovely spot for coffee, lunch and even dinner. And, the people-watching is tops!
Lovely brunch! The Pan Au Chocolat was Devine! The shakshuka and egg white frittata were great. Strong coffee too!

The waiter was attentive and courteous. The avocado toast was really delicious and the monte crist sandwich the best my husband had ever eaten!

Service was incredibly slow and spotty. It took forever to get our food and they brought our salad along with our entrée. They never cleared our plates or offered more water. I had to ask repeatedly to have the heater turned on and to get a glass of wine. Our server was incredibly sweet, but absent and seemed overwhelmed.Salmon was delicious. The dressing on the wedge salad was not very good. Pretty atmosphere.
I really like the spacious dining under the trees with the little whit picket fence all around. My sweet server looked after me when my friend never showed up. She was so kind and concerned over my anxiety which I thought most unusual. My only drawback was the simplicity of the very small menu, but that won’t keep me from coming back soon!
We ate outside on the patio twice - both dinner and lunch. Our favorite dish is an arugula salad with candied nuts and goat cheese. It was so delicious we had it for both meals! In addition, the Shakshuka is excellent. It has more of a cumin flavor than others we have had and was nicely spiced with a crunch that we think is chickpeas. It's a great place to try this dish if you have never had it. The NY steak was very good. We were pleased with both meals.

There weren't enough outdoor heaters for our table to have one, that would have made the experience a little better as it was cool once the sun set.
We were looking for a place to have dinner, during a very popular time of day. Goat Tree was available without a wait, which should have given us a pause.
Though this restaurant is situated in a corner with a great potential, especially with its huge outdoor space, everything about it was sub par. Working short staffed, with watered down paper menus, with patio heaters out of gas, it could have been a fast food destination, which was not what we had in mind. After a couple of cocktails, which were good, and one overpriced appetizer, we decided to have dinner elsewhere.
brunch was SO good!
Our waiter was not very nice! No personality! My husband was asking which 2 entree is better and he just shrugged his shoulder. I asked for Splenda for my coffee but was not given. All the waiters looks like rushing and it was not a busy day. I did not feel like dining in one of the nice hotel Californian Hotel at all. We drove from far to experience a good brunch and expecting a good service but was very disappointed.
It was a great place to get a bite and enjoy the city.

My husband and I absolutely loved sitting out in the courtyard. The view was outstanding and even having to be outside because of Covid the ambience was perfect. We were there for brunch so the mimosas were just right and I had the lemon ricotta pancakes which were light and fluffy.

Good atmosphere and service (very attentive and polite).
Ate here for Valentine's Day dinner and was very underwhelmed by the meal. Ordered a Caesar Salad without croutons (gluten issue), and added salmon (an extra $10). Was the smallest piece of salmon I've ever been served at a restaurant, on top of plain lettuce with some sprinkled cheese. Would have taken a photo but phone was dead. Left super unsatisfied after about a $150 meal.
Other person ordered a steak and it was fine, but not much better than an $8 hotel steak we had the night before.
Restaurant was only about 50% capacity--seems to be much better vibe during brunch as was crowded next morning we walked by.
Wish I ate somewhere else.

Lovely outdoor space and great food
Quite and safe. Tables were over 6-feet a part. We enjoyed our 3PM dinner.
Took recommendation from Hannah Ann Sluss’s Instagram account, thought it was going to be stellar, but overall not impressed. Waited 30 minutes for our drinks, and the food ended up coming out before. After we got food, waited another 10 min for us to finally get drinks. Both food and drinks were just average, nothing spectacular. Don’t waste money going here.
