   Glass Light is the best restaurant in Norfolk, hands down. Often times progressive chefs fail to strike a balance between innovation and the food actually tasting good and being appropriately portioned. Other restaurants downtown think making an entree $75 automatically means they're providing luxury. Chef Chingombe's dinner menu offered interesting takes on both classic and unique combinations of incredibly fresh, local and seasonal food. All while being reasonably priced. You can tell he loves what he does, and you will love what he and his team prepare. Service was wonderful as always. Katie was engaging, knowledgeable and attentive without making us feel rushed. Thank you for another perfect night out with my husband.

   Very nice dinning experience. My friend and I opted for 2 small plates each. It was just enough, beautifully prepared and delicious! The service was very good as well!

   We did the tasting menu, the Chef and Sous Chef very personable and informed you about the dishes. My wife was pregnancy. They make sure all the dishes she could eat and and made modifications if necessary. The presentation was great along with the taste and flavors of the food. Some of the best food I’ve had in the Norfolk/Virginia beach area, will definitely be coming back!

   Excellent food, service and setting. One of the best places to eat in downtown Norfolk.

   Everything was delightful. We had a great group of friends, service was exceptional, advice/explanation on food was precise and aided in selection, and food was extremely excellent. We will return again.

   Tichala is amazing! He recognized us from our Chef's counter meal and cam over to say hi. Can't wait to go back!

   Our waiter and the bartender were excellent at attending every want. We really wanted a fruity martini and they delivered a delicious drink 🍸 😋 A birthday sign was there to celebrate our friends birthday. And her dessert was brought out with a candle. They tended to every detail. Highly recommend!

   I had the Quail - I’m a huge lover of all game and I have honestly never tasted such a delicious preparation - it can easily be dry but this was moist with light glaze served with root veggies and greens - I’d go back just for the parsnips 😉

    Loved Glass Light. The food is fantastic. My husband and I ordered the Japanese eggplant appetizer along with the salad with candied walnuts, greens and bleu cheese. Delicious! He had the chicken as a main and I had the scallops. Both were prepared beautifully. Creative, tasty and ample, except, I will say that for $38.00 they should provide you with more than 3 scallops. They were large and delicious, but 5 would have been more of what I was expecting. However, other than that, everything was as close to perfect as possible. We ordered the chocolate tart for dessert and it was lovely. Scrumptious! I would definitely go back. It's a beautiful restaurant with terrific service and exceptionally prepared food. Go! You'll enjoy it.
