Great restaurant with top service. Good wine mist and broad menu. San Francisco Grill options were a nice touch.

The seafood chowder was a bit runny & lack of favour. Did inform the waitress who was served our table. The steak tartare, duck confit, Caesar salad & the crepes Suzette was very nice. There was new make staff member serving, but seems like not ready yet.

I am writing to compliment you on the outstanding service and meal that my guest and I enjoyed at Glass Brasserie yesterday afternoon. From the moment we arrived and were shown to our table, until it was time to leave, we were treated to the most professional and enjoyable service. It has been a long time since we have had the pleasure of experiencing the joy of the original San Francisco Grill Bar. Back in he 70's, what made the "Grill" so enticing was the personalised table service, the first class menu and stunning wine list. This trifecta of perfection made it the perfect venue for corporate executives, media moguls and stars of the performing arts to enjoy the culinary delights of a storied restaurant. It was the place to see and be seen. Yesterday the memories came flooding back...and the Glass Brasserie staff maintained the magic for those of us who can remember. In particular, I'd like to mention the efforts of our waiters, Claudio and Mauro. They made sure we were well looked after and the afternoon flew by in a breeze.

Always a fantastic experience. Food and service was excellent, our main was taking a little longer than normal, but didn’t worry us. Then the mâitre d’ came over and apologised, which wasn’t necessary, but a nice touch and typical of the quality of service at Glass.

Beautiful restaurant located on the 2nd floor of the Hilton. However, service was severely lacking and food was mediocre. We waited 20 minutes for water. We ordered sourdough which came out warm right away but our drinks didn’t arrive yet. Then, our meal came out before we were done with our bread and before our drinks. We sat there with our entrees waiting on our wine as we did not want to eat our meal without our wines we picked to pair with the food. Then, we were done eating, plates cleared, and we waited 20 minutes for an offer to pay and checkout. Furthermore, my sirloin was ordered medium rare and came out cooked medium at best and it’s was a very mediocre cut of meat. The wine selections were over priced and poor quality. It’s very surprising a sommelier works there. The bright spot were the brussel sprouts. In short, don’t bother unless you’re staying at the Hilton and want an easy option.

A truly consistently great restaurant, I have been going there for 22 years. Re-living the San Francisco Grill was a remarkable idea. Nadine Murphy (head chef) is so passionate about the restaurant, and it shows when you talk to her. Luke Mangan started it over 20 years ago, and I consider him one of the REAL greats of Sydney’s chefs. The surprising thing is the cost is less than what you would expect at such a great venue, e.g some of the “ flash “ restaurants these days have a $80 or $90 spend for two courses, not here , you order what you want. Great stuff. Joe Bart

We chose the Glass Brasserie for our anniversary. Decor, ambience was exceptional. Not to mention the service which was outstanding. My husband ordered the fillet medium rare and said it was the best he’s had. The waiter suggested we try the slow cooked beef which l accepted, unfortunately it was not to my liking and was drowned in the Jus. That said everything else, ceviche of salmon, prawn cocktail entrees and the sides with our main especially the truffle mash were delicious. A wonderful experience for a special occasion.
