It became obvious that they had somehow forgotten our main meals. We had to threaten to walk out to get some attention. The waitress seemed bamboozled and the sommelier eventually got the meals to the table. Poor service just brought the whole experience down.
Enjoyed a beautifully presented 5 course menu that did not disappoint. Freshness and quality of food was exceptional, service did not disappoint. Looking forward to our next visit.
Degustation highly recommended with the matching wines
Lovely lunch as always, very nice personal touch from Luke. Thank you and see you again soon!
Celebrated my Husbands Birthday 🎁
Beautiful night out at Glass, 10/10!
Luke made a surprise appearance!
Having Luke bring our food and throw some banter around was a perfect touch to the evening.
Glass is a stylish restaurant. The service is attentive and there is a great post-Covid vibe. The food is delicious. My husband said his steak was the best ever. And leave room for dessert.
The wine list is comprehensive. We were lucky enough to be greeted and shown to our table by Luke Mangan.
Staff friendly but didn't ask if meal was enjoyable/to our liking. The music was too loud and overwhelming , soft dinner music would have been appreciated so we didn't have to yell across the table.
Two of our party order the lamb and it was tasteless and undercooked (I don't like to see blood if I didn't ask for rare). As lamb/meat producers we do know the look of a good piece of lamb. The prawns were passable but had some very hot dressing sprinkled on them - too much. No real vegetables with the main course just something that looked like fried eggplant and some bits and pieces. Crème Brule was very thin and no cream with it.
Was so looking forward to this meal. Unfortunately will not return or recommend to others.
Soph, who greeted us at the restaurant, was extremely friendly and understanding when we had to push back our booking. The food was delicious, servers were attentive and patient, and food was surprisingly great value. Would certainly look forward to dining there again and would definitely recommend! Loved the cocktails, tartare and T-Bone especially :) and easy to duck off to either Zeta/Marble bar to continue the post-meal celebrations
Never ever disappoints. Chose the degustation menu and dined and wined over 3 glorious hours. The food, the drink, the service ... all were perfect.
Service was excellent and we were looked after all nite by one very good waiter who served our table like we were royalty. Probably the best service I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The food was exceptional entree main and dessert were all unbelievable......but two things were not great. We had to wait nearly two hours fir our main and the cost of the experience was very high I think a bit too high to be honest but you get what you pay for I guess! Well done Luke.
We were seated quickly. The food was amazing. The service was top notch. Friendly staff. Thank you so much for making our night enjoyable. We will definitely be back.
Amazing service and the food was fantastic. Can’t wait to go back
Had degustation. All dishes great. Good service. Excellent wine list. Sommelier was outstanding. Always delivers lovely evening.
We ate at the bar, for pre-theatre drinks & snacks. Love the atmosphere, we have eaten in the restaurant previously. We love the original cocktails and food. Right in the centre of the city, easy walk to the State Theatre. Highly recommend.
Extraordinary food and terrific service. It was well worth the price.
First time for degustation menu and we were delighted with the choices of courses and quality of food
Our night was as incredible as it always is when we dine here. This visit was extra special as We came a year ago, the day Glass closed due to the restrictions and it was quite sad ( we have been back a few times since you re opened too) but to be back exactly one year since then again and see tables full and happy people, was simply wonderful. The food is amazing, the staff can not be faulted in anyway and Ava got to order her Brownie for her Birthday again. We had a really fabulous happy family evening. Thank you everyone at Glass. We hope to be back soon.
The service was exemplary and Luke Mangan's signature dessert the 'Liqourice Meringue Roll' was outstanding. Even if you think you do not like licorice this is a must try. Simply, delightfully, delicious.
Great for that BIG night out. On a very rainy evening, and staying in-house at the Hilton Hotel, Glass was a great venue for a family dinner with our Sydney based sons. The service was friendly, professional & skilled. The food was good but over $50 for a steak [not much else on the plate] is getting quite pricey. The servings were not large. But also I could not fault the quality of the food. So if that is the price to be paid for wonderful produce, so be it. Being from the country, city restaurant prices are always a bit of an eye opener. The wine selection was limited [about six white wines] & once again quite pricey. Went middle of the range with an $80 bottle. But the evening was more than the money - it was great to have all the family together in such a spectacular space.
