Step into the "Goatland Spectacular," a one-night only culinary show, to join Top Chef and James Beard Award-winning Chef Stephanie Izard in celebrating 15 years of Girl & the Goat. Chef Steph’s flagship restaurant will transform into “a culinary circus” featuring daring stunts, fine spirits as well as bites from guest chefs, including Chef Shota Nakajima, Chef Karen Akunowicz, Chef Jonathon Sawyer and Goat alums Chef Joe Flamm and Chef Rhan Whang. Each chef will serve bites alongside highlights from Girl & the Goat, for this one-night-only spectacular! Event Information: This anniversary party is hosted at Girl & the Goat (West Loop, Chicago). Ticket includes food and four drink tickets (non-alcoholic drinks available) and additional beverage tickets will be available for purchase. Due to the nature of the event we are not able to accommodate dietary restrictions. The event will take place from 6 PM to 10 PM CST

For the most part the food was very good though we found the green bean dish to be very salty. Our main issue was the size of the restaurant vs the size of the staff. For the prices charged here I would expect servers to have far fewer tables than they were assigned. The result was a general lack of any attention from the server once we had placed our order.

The food quality for a vegetarian was pretty poor. Not worth the price at all.

Went there for brunch for our anniversary. We had the last reservation at 2 pm. We got there around 2:08 pm since our bus never showed up and we had to last minute uber from a place that was 6 min away. We still arrived within the 15 min window and texted with the restaurant about our ETA. Staff were super friendly and nice. They wished us a happy anniversary. We ordered three items: the pork belly noodles, the second pork belly item, and the skirt steak dish. We loved the first two, especially the pork belly noodles with the crispy chili flakes. The last item was not my favorite. It had too many chips and not as much steak. It was also the most expensive item on the menu I believe. I think they need to add more steak if it’s going to be one of the more expensive items on the menu. I also thought the cinnamon was very overpowering. We ordered two drinks: a Bloody Mary and a spicy boy with tequila. They were good. We felt a little bit rushed during our meal. The staff did let us know that kitchen closes at 2:30 (or so) and that we had to get the orders in by 2:15 which we promptly did as soon as we got there. We were told they close and prep for dinner. We were at the restaurant for around 40 min. It just felt like the restaurant shouldn’t have a 2 pm brunch spot if they need people out before 3 pm to prepare for dinner at 4:30. Again, staff was wonderful so I don’t think it’s their fault, it’s just that we would have enjoyed our time more if we felt like we could stay longer. Maybe a recommendation would be to book an earlier time and avoid the 2 pm slot on Sundays for brunch. We were also informed that they only serve brunch on Sundays. It was still a good experience to get to see what brunch is like there. I think apart from the pork belly noodles, everything else was good but not exceptional.

Outstanding dinner for our 5th anniversary. Had 6 dinner items and two desserts split between 4 people and it was perfect. We had a hard time licking our favorites. Pig cheeks were rich and very good. Loved the green beans, empanadas, halibut and soft shell crab.

Absolutely fantastic experience. I was nervous because some of the reviews said they were underwhelmed, but our experience was exactly what we were hoping for. Get the pork shank!

We got last minute reservations for outdoors. Jake was fabulous and attentive. The food was excellent, the cocktails amazing, we can't wait to come back.

Wonderful good. Note they are small plates (tapas style) so be prepared to order more than one plate per person.
