Girl & the Goat opened in 2010 with the goal of offering a menu of bold, flavorful dishes designed to share in a fun and lively atmosphere. To complement the experience, we offer a curated selection of wines from around the world, focusing on small producers, along with a rotating list of craft beers and a playful cocktail menu crafted by our bartenders. The ever-changing menu, driven by locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, features favorites like sautéed green beans, roasted oysters, crispy short ribs, and confit goat belly. While reservations are encouraged for the dining room, our bar welcomes walk-ins, adventurers, and those who prefer spontaneity.

    Step into the "Goatland Spectacular," a one-night only culinary show, to join Top Chef and James Beard Award-winning Chef Stephanie Izard in celebrating 15 years of Girl & the Goat. Chef Steph’s flagship restaurant will transform into “a culinary circus” featuring daring stunts, fine spirits as well as bites from guest chefs, including Chef Shota Nakajima, Chef Karen Akunowicz, Chef Jonathon Sawyer and Goat alums Chef Joe Flamm and Chef Rhan Whang. Each chef will serve bites alongside highlights from Girl & the Goat, for this one-night-only spectacular! Event Information: This anniversary party is hosted at Girl & the Goat (West Loop, Chicago). Ticket includes food and four drink tickets (non-alcoholic drinks available) and additional beverage tickets will be available for purchase. Due to the nature of the event we are not able to accommodate dietary restrictions. The event will take place from 6 PM to 10 PM CST

                                                    They initially tried to sit 3 of us at a 2 top table (the restaurant was empty and we had a reservation) but we asked to be moved to a 4 top. Wise choice as the server recommended 6 dishes to share amongst 3 women. They would have never fit on the table. Also. Yes, sharing was great but totally over ordered and left 30% of the food behind. Would have been fine with 4 dishes to share. Also-no espresso/coffee menu. Just the basics like plain coffee, Capp and latte. No flavorings or iced/cold brew options. Disappointing to not have fun caffeine options at a higher end Sunday brunch when you don’t drink alcohol. I wouldn’t go back for brunch. So many other options in the neighborhood.

                                                    For my wife's birthday dinner, we came in from Charlotte, NC. We were pleasantly surprised to be seated at the open kitchen, and we had a blast all night long watching and listening. The service was top notch, the food was some of the best we've ever had, and we woke up still talking about it. Thank you for one of our best dining experiences ever.

                                                    Our dining experience was truly outstanding and memorable. Each dish was unique and absolutely packed with flavor, and shareable plates was a fun way to try many dishes. The chickpea fritters were alive with various textures and fresh herbs. The goat empanadas were rich and smoky with the perfect corn salsa complement. The halibut was the star of our night! One of the best fish dishes I've EVER eaten - light, flaky, fresh herbs, and the blueberry nuoc cham was exquisite! The sticky glazed pork shank did not disappoint! Its chili-lime crunch danced on my tongue. The little pork taco I built on the heavenly homemade tortilla was a true flavor bomb and a perfect end to the evening. The establishment was beautiful and abuzz with SO many staff members caring for the guests. (Thank you for smiling each time you stopped at our table, Efrain!) I had a perfect view of the kitchen where each chef was incredibly focused on creating a perfect plate for their guests. I even enjoyed the goat-themed shirts worn by the staff...a fun touch to round out our experience. IT WAS A PERFECT DATE NIGHT!!
