Girl & the Goat always provides an impeccable dining experience! The staff are all wonderful and have amazing attention to detail. Every dish is full of flavor, and they sequence the meal perfectly. Absolutely the best restaurant in the city!
Very wonderful. Would go back immediately!
Was a little underwhelmed unfortunately. Haven't been here in a long time but we found each dish had a similar theme... topped with some form of cheese to provide the 'flavor' (salt mostly) and too much oil.
We had the shishito peppers... which were ok on their own but lacked depth of flavor and spice other than the toasted parmesan cheese which hardened slightly and left oil behind.
Then moved to the oysters which again were OK but the sauce just didn't pack much flavor and, I hate to admit it, but I had a few shell pieces :(.
Next was the Thai Elotes which was disappointing. The Thai wasn't to be found and neither was the signature Mexican cheese sauce for Elote and the corn ended up being a bit al dente and bland.
Last item was the goat empanadas which were ok.
In the end we were expecting more and hoping for a foodie experience but what we got was perhaps a, we've grown big enough now that the food doesn't get the same love and care it used to.
Upscale casual dining. Room was a bit dark for my liking but still nice ambience. Food is tapas shared style.
Loved it!! Came highly recommended and it exceeded expectations.
Excellent service and excellent unique quality food !
This was the best restaurant we have been too. And we have been to a lot! it beats out places like Gary Danko and Michael Mina. The chef is a powerful flavor master and each of her dishes were exquisite. The portion sizes were just right and the desserts were to die for. We did family style and got to taste quite a few of the dishes. Each one was mind blowing in their own way. Hoping chef Izard opens up a place like this in San Francisco. The only one less star was the service was a tiny bit spotty from our main server. There was a bug in my water, for ex,and he took the glass away and never replenished it. Other than that, we will surely be back.
Food & cocktails were incredible. Get the green beans and branzino!. Only complaint is it a very long time for one person at our table to get their meal (a salad) and didn't come out until everyone else was almost done eating. Despite this, service was great and accommodating.
Enjoyed the variety of flavors, loved the pork shank, pigs face and empanadas! Our waitress was attentive and helpful.
Stuffs on point
Amazing time great food
Amazing food that is only overshadowed by the amazing service
Food was great. Pork shank was delicious. Also recommend the elote and broccoli.
One of the best meals I have ever ver had!!! Plus the service and ambiance were amazing!!
Everything Perfect as always - the oysters and poke I could eat everyday. Their take on elotes was heavenly.
Great experience. Food was so different from the usual and very tasty. Highly recommend to all “foodies”.
We lucked out on a last minute reservation for outside (it was 90F+ -- I'm guessing a few people weren't up for the heat and canceled). Everything was fantastic: food, drinks, service.
Had a lovely time. Food was amazing. The salmon poke was a favorite!
Food was amazing. Smaller menu, but something for everyone. The service was personal and top notch. The prices were also reasonable for the food and location. Would recommend it 100%.
Great experience from everyone we encountered and the food was one amazing bite after the othet
Food was excellent!!
The hype around Girl and the Goat is not unbefitting of the experience they provide. Every time I come here my expectations are sky high, and every time they manage to deliver new, complex flavors, presented to you in a timing that makes perfect sense. Nothing it too heavy, nothing is too light - everything is perfectly balanced; even their desserts always perfectly balance the sweetness you’d expect with an amount of savory.
The food was great, and we can’t wait to go back!!
Absolutely great. Every dish we had was outstanding and creative. Not to be missed if you can get in.
Food was awesome as usual. We had all of the greatest hits and they did not disappoint.
The food was well prepared and tasty. We ordered several items. I was taken aback by the halibut. For $28 we received a 2”x2” piece of halibut and some sauce. I’m guessing the pre cooked weight was about 2-3ozs. That’s too little for that price. I commented about it to the server and he said that they had recently raised the price on it.
The food was particularly wonderful, especially the halibut and elotes. We also loved the corn bread. The service was great. We really enjoyed the new outdoor patio. The beautiful flowers and bright orange umbrellas were very festive and the music was lively, but not too loud.
Food was really good, good service, thanks. .
Spectacular food and flavors! Great experience. Every dish was extremely well thought out and had a great combination of flavors.
Excellent food - everything is shared and just the right amount for 4 people to each get a reasonable portion and the ability to go back with some of the bigger dishes.
The short rib was more like pieces of steak instead of the more shredded and falling off the bone idea I have of short rib. It was unfortunately not tender at all. The wood fire grilled broccoli was delicious. The chocolate and strawberry dessert was also good. Our server was lovely. It’s unfortunate the main course was such a let down.
This was our first time there. Food was very creative, both in presentation and in taste. It was fun to try so many new items and combinations. Enjoyed that everything was set up to be shared and we received new individual plates with every item ordered.
Service was outstanding with everything fully explained and everyone we interacted with was professional and friendly.
Only complaint was we were seated indoors right under a speaker so the music was louder than we would have chosen.
But all in a a delightful meal and experience.
Girl it was delicious, just a smaller portion and after the quesa-birrias we had for lunch it wasn’t as captivating as the pig face, halibut and pork shank. Dessert was very good as well, and I would gladly visit again.
Love this restaurant best grilled broccoli ever and pig face everything was delicious highly recommended
We had dinner here for our anniversary. It was a perfect July evening outside: not hot at all. Trevor, our server, was wonderful and did a great job explaining everything on the menu.
The food was AMAZING. I couldn’t pick just one thing as a favorite, but I especially loved the poke bowl and the pig face. Everything was delicious, and the portions are perfect for sharing.
We couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend our anniversary. Thank you to Trevor and the Girl and the Goat!
Never disappoints. Always amazing. Only drawback … very very noisy
We flew all the way from Austin TX to eat at the Iron Chef winner’s restaurant and it was amazing….the pig’s face was so good that we ordered it twice. Finished the nite off with desserts and coffee. Definitely worth the trip!!!
From the moment we walked in, it felt like an experience, not just grabbing a bite to eat somewhere. Our waiters were attentive and personable. The food was divine. We especially loved that our waiter gave great suggestions and listened to what we like. Absolutely magnificent meal!
Very unique menu with lots of tasty options to try with a group. The portion size for each dish is rather small. I know that is part of the experience to have people try many items for a complete meal, but we thought the value for this type of meal is expensive (easily $50-60 a person for food + $15-20 more for a drink). It was a fun restaurant to try and most of the food was enjoyable, but it would not be a restaurant we frequent with any regularity
