Girl & the Goat offers an inventive culinary experience with "exceptional service" and "amazing food." Dishes like the goat empanadas and pork shank are highlights. Girl & the Goat absolutely lived up to the hype. We tried the goat liver, pig’s face, and skirt steak—each dish was packed with bold, unforgettable flavor. The service was attentive and friendly, and our drinks were just as impressive as the food. We ended with the lemon bar, which was the perfect bright and tangy finish. Highly recommend!

We’re thrilled to hear we lived up to the hype! Thank you for trying some of our boldest dishes—we love that you went for the goat liver mousse and pig face. It’s always great to hear when both food and service hit the mark, and we’re especially glad the yuzu lemon bar was the perfect finale. Hope to welcome you back again soon! We arrived a little bit early, but were told that we’d be seated closer to our actual reservation time. That was totally ok for us. The greeting staff, serving staff, as well as the manager were very friendly and helpful. Seating was a little close to the next diner, but not a problem for us. Instantly we just clicked with our neighboring diner and the evening was even more fun that way. The food was AMAZING! Every single item was amazing: goat empanadas, the focaccia bread with spreads, the asparagus (our neighbor mentioned that the green beans were great too), and the skirt steak. All these foods sound basic, but definitely not. Chef Izard and her team have added the remaining simple, yet when combined together ingredients, to create these delicious and beautiful dishes.

Hello, Lusine! What an incredible day of goat-inspired deliciousness—thank you for letting us be a part of it, and it was great getting to chat with you for a little bit ! We’re so glad you had a fantastic experience at both spots and that the flavors, the team, and even your neighboring diner made your evening so special. Chef Izard will be thrilled to hear your kind words! As for those serving boards… we’ve definitely heard that request before 😉. We can’t wait to welcome you back! Safe travels back to LA! Warmly, Gerson Dacanay, General Manager

Good food but the place is too loud , plus the music is too high. You cannot talk.

The food and service were excellent. The halibut is in season and the sauces were magnificent.

Thank you so much for the lovely note, Glenn! We’re thrilled you enjoyed the food and service, and we are always happy to host you and Cathy (and anyone you bring along)—and yes, the halibut this season has been a standout! We’re so glad the sauces hit the mark, too. Always happy to see the both of you, and looking forward to seeing you again (twice?!) in the coming month!! Best, Gerson

The decor and ambiance had a cool vibe, but the noise level was high. The food/drinks were good, but our service was terrible. Our server never came over to check on us for at least 45 minutes at one point. The gentleman refilling the water was great and we mentioned to him one of our dishes never came. It showed up about 20 minutes later but by then we didn’t want it. Never asked us if we wanted more drinks. When we mentioned to the server, her response was “we’re very busy”. I’m sorry, for 45 minutes you walked past our table and never check-in with us so maybe you’re in the wrong business! That’s literally the job.
Girl & the GoatResponded 2 days ago
Thank you for sharing your experience, Laura. While we’re glad to hear you enjoyed the ambiance and some aspects of the food and drink, it’s clear that parts of the service didn’t meet expectations. We take feedback like this seriously—it helps us grow and push for the consistency we aim for across the board. If you’d be open to it, I’d be happy to connect directly to learn more. More than we were expecting! Server was wonderful and gave us great suggestions on an array to try and everything was incredible! Goat Empanadas, green beans, shrimp salad were just a few of our fa roites, but everything was delicious! Will be back!
Girl & the GoatResponded 3 days ago
Love hearing this, Samantha! We’re so glad your experience exceeded expectations and that you enjoyed the variety (and some of our favorites too—those empanadas and green beans are hard to beat!). We’ll be thrilled to have you back for round two! Best, Gerson Dacanay, General Manager

Top Chicago restaurant! Every dress is so flavorful and consistent every visit. Minimum requirement for a visit: Green beans or asparagus + Pork Shank! They are unreal.
