This was one of the worst dinning experiences I have experienced. Good quality was poor and tasteless. The lady who appeared to be the owner or manager or someone high was rude and told me they were closed when I came back in to use the rest room after dinning there with my family for Mother’s Day. The pre-selected menu for the Mother’s Day experience was really bad. Total disaster and waste of $300 bucks

The service was horrible, server was inattentive and just unresponsive to our needs. We went for Mother’s Day brunch and we were asked if we had any dietary restrictions and we did and server acted like it was a hassle. He couldn’t quite grasp the concept I can’t eat seafood. He also never asked if we wanted any drinks, we had to flag him down to get some drinks. We had to wait 25 minutes for our final course. We had numerous people come and try to clear our plates away cause they thought we were done but unfortunately we weren’t. We had to ask server were our final plate was and he had no clue. So disappointing and quite frankly a waste of money. 150 bucks to share five normal size plates.

We have been to Girl & the Goat three times over the last few years before we went again last night. We were disappointed with the restaurant for the first time. The goat empanadas had very little goat meat. Our server was not responsive. We ordered steak when placing all of our orders, but we didn’t receive it until much later and only after repeatedly asking about its status.

Thank you for visiting us again, William—we truly value your continued support. We’ve noted your feedback on the service and pacing, as well as your thoughts on the goat empanadas. I’ll be reaching out directly in case you’re open to sharing more; we always appreciate the opportunity to listen and improve. Warmly, Gerson Dacanay, General Manager 312-492-6262

All of the food was delicious. Family style provides a great opportunity to try different things. The goat mousse was delightful. The peanut butter chocolate dessert just tasted like peanut butter and jelly though- not at all aligned with what the description made us expect. Go with another option, for sure.

Thank you, Cailin, for sharing your thoughts! We’re so glad you enjoyed the variety of dishes and that the goat mousse was a hit. We appreciate your feedback on the peanut butter chocolate dessert—our team is always exploring ways to fine-tune the menu, and insights like yours are incredibly helpful. We hope to welcome you back soon to try more of what we have to offer!

Outstanding meal. Four of us sampled 8 dishes and each one was excellent, starting with oysters and chicken peas and shrimp salad and empanadas then moved onto halibut and sticky pork shank for the finale. Inventive mix of flavors made for a fantastic dining experience. Our servers were all knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Five stars!!!
