Giovanni’s Ristorante invites you to experience Italian cuisine in an atmosphere reminiscent of the old world charm where friends and family gather to enjoy more than just a meal. The homemade pastas, the prime cuts of meat, the fresh fish and farm grown vegetables are carefully prepared to preserve a distinctive flavor of the finest regions.

Specialty wines and spirits complement each course. Guests enjoy tableside conversation with Frances Cannarsa Truant, the “padrona” or perhaps a visit from Chef Randy Truant. The atmosphere is convivial, warm, and aromatic. The staff is seasoned, the service impeccable.

The Godfather Room is the ideal setting for a business meeting.
The Wine Room offers a touch of romance for that special evening.
The Main Dining Room is a perfect place to celebrate a birthday or an anniversary.
There’s a Speak Easy in the back for the ultimate private party.

The dining experience was wonderful. Drinks were delicious, especially the expresso martini and the old fashioneds. The calamari appetizer was the best we have ever eaten. Our server, Chris, was outstanding. Knew the details to each and every dish. The entrees were plated beautifully and tasted even better. The lighting was low but our eyes adjusted. We will be back!

Since I don't live in the area, it has been many years since my last visit, but I'm happy to report that the food and ambience are still great. My wife and I loved the experience!

Always an overall pleasurable dining experience! Food uniquely prepared and presented by an amazing kitchen staff. Truly one of the best restaurants throughout the Midwest! Professional and knowledgeable waitstaff provided an outstanding service experience as well. Kudos to our waiter, Chuck! Thanks again, Giovanni’s!

Giovanni's has been in business for many decades for a number of excellent reasons. All of the pieces of a delightful dining experience come together here. The two of us were seated in a small cozy room with only four tables. The wine and cocktail lists were extensive. There are a number of excellent entrees and the salmon special and the veal were both great. Valet parking is right at the front door and it is swift. The trend nowadays for some restaurants is an unusual menu which often does not work while also being overpriced. On the other hand, Giovanni's shows that there is no substitute for knowing what you are doing. We will be back.

Extensive menu, well executed. We especially enjoyed the artichoke and sausage starters, the veal saltimbocca and the bolognese sauce. Our server was excellent. We had a 7:30 reservation on a Saturday night and waited about 10 minutes for a table. We were told this is their busiest night.
