The homemade pastas, the prime cuts of meat, the fresh fish and farm grown vegetables are carefully prepared to preserve a distinctive flavor of the finest regions.

Specialty wines and spirits complement each course. Guests enjoy tableside conversation with Frances Cannarsa Truant, the “padrona” or perhaps a visit from Chef Randy Truant. The atmosphere is convivial, warm, and aromatic. The staff is seasoned, the service impeccable.

The Godfather Room is the ideal setting for a business meeting.

As always another fantastic dinner. We love the lasagna and the old school charm of this Italian restaurant. Service was superb. Our favorite restaurant in Detroit.

Our server was absolutely spot on from the time we were seated until we finished our meal. Dinner was delicious and I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Always a go to for special occasions. Little disappointed our server did not acknowledge my wife’s birthday - the hostess did but the sentiment did not make it to our server. Food and atmosphere was great as always. A candle on the cannoli would have been the right touch.

A dining destination, Giovanni's consistently provides an exceptional dining experience. Attentive and polished wait staff, diverse and appealing menu, and delicious food make this a local favorite. While we always enjoy the calamari appetizer, the shrimp Giovanni is a recent favorite.

Everything is tempting, but trust me: don't pass up the lasagna! Best in world (except if you have a Nonna, I'm not even going there)!

The food was excellent!! The service was slightly slow but still good. When making the reservation I had requested a booth for our anniversary dinner but was seated in a back room which was very nice and romantic. Overall I definitely would recommend !!!

The most amazing calamari I’ve ever had! The salmon and risotto special was fantastic as was the lasagna and the melt in your mouth gnocchi’s! Could have eaten every dessert on the tray. Only complaint wax a very loud table of 10 in the wine room with us. It wasn’t easy to hear the other couple but we managed!
