   They have the best risotto and calamari I’ve ever had. The service is attentive, but not fussy or overbearing. The courses come out at a nice pace. It’s never rushed and you have time to enjoy everything thoroughly. It’s a great place for a romantic date or a special occasion.

   Best Italian restaurant outside of italy I've ever been to. Staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable of the cuisine. Randy is a fantastic host and has held up his family's tradition of uncompromising authentic Italian dishes.

    I always love Giovanni’s . My last visit was very nice but our one dish of angel hair pasta with meatballs was an extremely small portion as was our caesar salad. We had several appetizers which were good along with other entrees.

    Best Italian food around - not even close! Try the Calamari appetizer ranked the best in Michigan by Eat This Not That and their lasagna is unlike any you'd ever have - just excellent! Thanks again for a lovely meal.

    A great place for a romantic dinner! The decor is not swanky, but feels a little old school Italian. Dimly lit, but adds to the ambience of the dinner. Service is great and the servers know the menu well and beautifully articulate the daily features. Quiet enough to hear the appropriately chosen dinner music. The food was amazing, Lasagna for her, stuffed ravioli in Alfredo for me… Exceptional! Everything made from scratch. Would definitely recommend.

    oUR sERVER, sHARON WAS VERY POLITE, INFORMATIVE AND ON TOP OF EVERYTHING SHE SUGGESTED TRYING THE cLAMARI Our server, Sharon, was very polite, informstive and stayed on top of everything. She suggested the Calamari, saying it was voted best. We tried it and loved it. She also gave us 3 specials that were not on the menu and we chose 2 of them The specials were undoubtedly a great choice. Their Halibut on a bed of Risota was extremely delicious. I chose the Zuppa De Pesce. mild to medium level of spice was extremely tasty. We were satisfied with everything. Sharon's Team supported her with bussing the tables, keeping our glasses filled and collecting our valet stub so that our car would be at the curb when we exited. Our evening of clebrating was the best. I will be returning.

    The food was absolutely fabulous and delicious, the service was great. My husband and I enjoyed it so much that we plan to make it our once per month date night destination. I loved the the waitress/server was so knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant and has personally eaten the food. The restaurant was very romantic, quiet but lively. All of the staff was friendly. We enjoyed that they were willing to make or add things that wasn't on the menu, like adding Italian sausage to the Pizza Margherita, so delicious! I love that the dishes are made fresh and cooked to order.

    I was very disappointed with the quality of the food because Giovanni's came highly recommended. Although my Chicken Piccata looked very presentable on the plate, it was bland except for the capers. The chicken didn't seem like it was quite done enough and it took some effort to slice the chicken with my knife. The sauce was a little on the watery side and practically had no lemon flavor or much flavor at all. My side dish of pasta with Pomodoro sauce was tastier. The salad with house dressing was excellent. My cheesecake for dessert was very good but didn't have the orange flavor that I was expecting. However, my friend's Tiramisu was excellent. I should have ordered that as it is my favorite dessert. I dined with two other friends and all of us had a hard time going to our table and reading the menu because the lighting was too dim. This visit may have been an off day so I may try them again to see if the food is like this visit or not. But the food during this visit does not compare with other Italian restaurants that I and my friends have been to. Sarah, our server, was great. She was attentive, but not overly attentive, which was very nice. She did check on us throughout our dinner to make sure that we had everything we needed or wanted.
