Food took forever & place was empty. (30 min before Caesar salad arrived) Waitress said only 2 ppl in kitchen? Out of several things on an already VERY limited menu.

They have an amazing selection of Vermouths (the biggest selection in the East Bay) and their flight is on point. Definitely would go again for a full glass and another flight of a whole new selection. They know how to pair them well and provide you with the right citrus to open up the flavors. Also, their Bruschetta is fresh and delicious.

So much fun for our oldests 17th birthday! Great food and great staff! The pizza was phenomenal and the pasta was a hit with our teen daughters. The shrimp dip was devoured in a blink. We played Bocce Ball and drank great beers.

Hi - A group of friends went to celebrate my Birthday - early (6:00) Bar area was noisy. We were seated in the back which made it much easier to have a conversation. The decor is great. The cleaned murals from the former restaurant look beautiful. New skylights added light and has a great clean look. The food was very good and a good value. The staff was friendly but the service was spotty. The restaurant would benefit from additional staff, to respond to small requests, once the drinks, food are served - ice, more water, bread, parmesan cheese, etc. Overall, I would recommend it, go back, and plan to come back and play bocce ball!

Very friendly staff. Ideal if you want to watch the game - they have giant screens and giant beers.

We felt welcomed from the moment we walked in the door. Excellent location for casual, yet upscale dining on graduation night. Food was great, service was attentive and wines were very good too. Worked well for our eclectic family from CT to Cali, who enjoy bocce ball.

Very noisy; tv screens all around. Drinks very pricey. Food, expensive, but very good, though menu is very limited. Service friendly.

I'd been here on a Sunday afternoon and had a had a fine experience at the bar, sipping a bloody mary and chatting with the bartender. But about a week ago, I went with my family - a table of 8 - and was disappointed in the mediocre food (Among other things, Gio's serves pizza. You've got to bring a pretty good pizza game to the Bay Area restaurant scene), but we were especially disappointed in the inattentive table service - casual to the point of forgetfulness and disinterest. I hope it was just an off night for Gio's.

Gio's was closed up tight, Open Table confirmed our reservation, very disappointed as we had to scramble to find another venue and still make a 2 pm play.
