In 1959, Frank and Tina D'Ambrosio decided to start a new restaurant venture along with their "Paisans" Mario and Enza Volpe, after Frank had much success with his first restaurant, the original "Frankie, Johnnie, and Luigi Too! In Mountain View, CA. Named after a good friend of theirs, they opened the original "Giorgio's" in the Foxworthy Shopping Center in San Jose, CA. One year later, cousins Anthony and Louise Dambruoso, affectionately known to the family as "Sash and Lou", took control of the restaurant and ran it for the next eight years. Pictures and paintings of these folks still grace the walls of the establishment today. In 1968, Frank's four sons assumed control of the restaurant and still own and operate it to this day. In 1997 they opened a second location in Milpitas, CA, in 2023 another in Morgan Hill and now back in Mountain View, where they still offer the highest standard of quality food, service, and value to their customers.     Good food but service was a bit spotty. We noticed that several parties, who arrived AFTER we were seated, had bread delivered to the table before we were served ours. Over 15+ minutes, we were told several times that the bread was ready to come out of the oven... it did NOT arrive until the entrees were delivered (after the appetizer and beverage service). Service is usually very good, but our server needed to be more organized.

    Food and service has improved since it was Frankie Johnie and Luigi Too. I missed the old ambience of FJL. The new Tini Too Much pizza has improved significantly and Will reminds of the old days.

    Giorgio’s looks a bit different than Frankie and Johnnie’s used to, but the food is the same (if not better). If you want great Italian food and great service, please give them a visit!

    As always, a great meal. The Eggplant Parmigiana had a crisp breaded crust covered with melted mozzarella and marinara. The dish included spaghetti marinara and spinach aglio olio. We added a soup, a rich minestone, and a house salad. The outdoor seating is very nice option.

    This is a great venue to have a good meal with friends or family. The food and the presentation of the food was really good. Delicious. Selection was good and the choices of wine was also good, not elaborate but good. I would recommend it to anyone that's looking for a good meal at a reasonable price. We will go back there to the Mountain View location.

    We loved FJL and enjoyed dining and celebrating special events there over the years. So we were thrilled to find the location open as Giorgio’s! So many of our favorites on the menu and service was friendly and the environment cheerful! Winning!
