   Gioia is one of the best restaurants in New Haven. Delicious food, innovative cocktails, amazing service. Avi, Tim, Howie and Mark have created something truly special in Wooster Sq. I cannot recommend Gioia more highly.

   We had a great birthday lunch at Gioia. Food was excellent— we did family style and tried the pastries, potatoes, beet salad, French toast, and pizza. Pastries and breakfast potatoes were both standouts— we actually ordered a second plate of the potatoes because they were so good. Service was attentive and we did not feel rushed. We will be back for dinner sometime!

   Every dish we had was fantastic. Loved the goat cheese flatbread, carrots, beets, meatballs.  Excellent service. Cool ambience.

   Love this place but for Easter brunch, it was a little underwhelming. Very very limited menu. The normal brunch is much better. I will be back, but not on a holiday or when they have a limited menu.

   Great food, great space! Terrific options across the menu. Love the option of rooftop bar area for a more a casual experience. Great desserts and drinks so don’t miss!

   The food at Gioia was very good. The only downside was that the menu is very limited. My wife and I had trouble getting excited about any of the apps and entrees. The pizza was excellent with a slightly chewy thick crust. We would hesitate to go back because of the limited menu items.

    Everything was great, except I had to get up at one point and close the front door. They have a bit of a problem with the door not closing and cold air coming in. Happened to me last time too! Other than that, everything was truly outstanding!
