Great food. Excellent service. Warm ambiance. These elements are how many of our guests would describe Ginger. We created a restaurant that expresses our faith and values in extending genuine hospitality to all and food sure to please all tastes. We take classics and new cuisine of the Pacific Rim and put a modern twist on the flavors.
My husband and I have always met at Ginger's before the PAC shows for dinner and we have enjoyed it in the past. However, the Curry Beef gave me a terrible stomachache to the point, I had to excuse myself from the show. I don't know if it was the sauce or something else, but it was not a good experience.
Wonderful restaurant. Great food. Classic presentation. Best fillet mignon I have had in a while. Friendly servers.
The filet mignon and mee krob were excellent! Out appetizers wings and chicken skewers were okay. The wings were crunchy all the way through but good flavor. The chicken skewers are very spicy! Dessert apple crisp was good but the cinnamon ice cream on top was amazing. Great service, cute restaurant, we will definitely go back.
The staff was outstanding! Gina was so friendly and available but unobtrusive. The water was always full which I love!
The food was hot and delicious and quick to arrive. I had the seafood of the day which was perfectly cooked. The veggies were crisp yet tender, the potatoes creamy and flavorful!
Great romantic dinner for my girlfriend and I. Would definitely recommend.
I like the food offerings at Ginger. AND I am so glad that, practically any offering , proteins can be carried…tofu can be substituted.
The bar/bartenders is/are great.
Delicious fusion food, great & friendly service, quiet atmosphere that we can have conversations without yelling.elegance ambient.
Another amazing dining experience. By far, the most consistent restaurant in Anchorage. The service provided by Jarred was once again, spot on.
I love ginger; everything I've ordered has been great and everyone I bring loves it. A truly great find!
Ginger is a favorite for my wife and I. Every dish on the menus is great. You really can’t go wrong here.
Great food and our server was very hospitable. We told her we had a show to get to and our dinners came out in a timely manner. However, it did get hectic by the time we ordered dessert (the delightful macaroons), and we had to wait quite a long time for them, especially since it was essentially putting cookies on a plate. We ended up having to box our dessert to go, because we needed to be getting to our show. That was the only thing that was not as smooth as we would have liked, and it was a Saturday night, so it was very busy. Everything else was wonderful and I’ll be back again. ☺️
Attentive service and wonderful food well presented and delicious. Always a good choice for dining with friends and loved ones.
Good drinks, great service, overall feel of the place is nice. Some food descriptions do not match what actually comes out, steaks were undercooked, but the simple burger was delicious. I think this place can be a hit or a miss depending on what you order.
Gingers is always good. Very convenient great menu. Tables are packed a little tight. Overall a great little hide away in downtown Anchorage.
Fantastic as always. Definitely our favorite restaurant in Anchorage.
The reservation was available when we wanted it, the service was great. Closing out (bill and to-go box) was a bit slower but understandable as most people were in a hurry to catch the fireworks across the street
We had a great time celebrating a friend’s New Year’s Eve Birthday. The food was fabulous as always!
Best food in town!
We enjoyed our visit to Ginger and liked the food, which has an oriental flavor. Our only complaint was the tables are too close together and we had to listen to several out-of-town lawyers brag to each other how much they think they know about Alaska when, in fact, how little they actually know. We would have preferred more privacy.
One of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had in Anchorage, and we’ve lived here 25 years.
All menu choices were very rich. I have a special diet so I wasn’t able to handle the rich sauces and spices that seemed to be in every entree option. Service was wonderful and the dessert was divine. I can’t say it’s on my list of favorite places in town, but I’ll be back to try lunch or brunch. Again, service was wonderful.
We loved Ginger. We had a lovely table. Our server was excellent. The cocktails were superb!
Annual visit to AK.
Great experience. Supportive to harsh weather delays and our evening PAC showing. Much respect and well wishes.
Great food and atmosphere! Drinks are outstanding we did not receive the level Of excellence from wait staff that we usually do. Maybe an off night?
Allow yourself a little extra time if you are going to a show, as it is a popular pre show place to dine. The food, was great. The apple crisp, which our server recommended, was amazing.
Food wasn’t as good as expected, very Bland. Overpriced for what you got.
I had brunch and I really want to try dinner. The service was extraordinary. Everyone I encountered was very attentive and went out of their way to make sure I was well taken care of. Every dish on the menu looked great. I have the Moo Shu Breakfast Tacos. They were very good and it was more than enough to eat. Dinner looks even more intriguing!
My wife and I have been to Ginger a handful of times and have always had an enjoyable experience. I’m not sure what the difference was this time, but our meals weren’t very good at all. My wife had the special it wasn’t at all like it was advertised and it just wasn’t cooked at all. My dish was a staple of the menu, and something we’ve both had before, and it was just bland. For the price we paid ginger didn’t live up to our expectations this time.
The menu had a nice variety of interesting appetizers and entrees. We enjoyed the curries, both beef and vegetarian.
Ginger's a great place to go get a cocktail and a bite to eat. Service is great, bartenders are super knowledgeable and they like to experiment with unique things. Food is great, although a little on the pricey side.
Took friends out for an early dinner and enjoyed appetizers, soup and main course. Outstanding service and great food. We will be back soon.
Early dinner before the symphony so very quiet and relaxing. Had pork rolls for appetizer, then duck breast and beef curry for main course. Food was delicious and they gave us just the right amount of time between courses. I am not a fan of places that bring your main course while you are trying to finish your appetizer. The food had great taste - not bland, like so many restaurants these days. Service was excellent. Will definitely be back.
I live above the Arctic Circle in Alaska. I love to eat at Ginger when I am in Anchorage. This restaurant has a great feel and excellent food. Last week my friend and I shared two great dinners, the Mac and Cheese with scallops and the Bleu Cheese Fillet. Both were delicious. Thank you, Ginger, for always making me feel special when I am in town.
Ginger is one of my go to restaurants. Great location. Great menu. Quiet and comfortable. I would recommend it to anyone. Nice to have a great restaurant right downtown where I live. Thank you.
Thanks to Kat for great service. The food was great as usual.
I LOVE GINGER AYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY AND THEIR PAPAS FRITAS AYYYYYYYYYY
Not sure what has changed but the food has gotten quite bland over past few years. Randomly have given it another and another chance but the food is just not as tasty as it was when Ginger first opened up. The service is always wonderful and atmosphere is great but a the heart of any restaurant is about the food and it just hasn’t been impressive for too long now. It’s just a shame, it was once among my favorites in community.
Excellent food and good service. Great place to eat before attending a show at the theater.
