Head Chef Sam Potter has over 20 years of experience working at multi-award-winning and hatted restaurants in Queensland and is an exciting addition to the region’s flourishing food and wine scene.

To ensure the best quality and experience, some dishes—including those from our Parilla grill—are only available Tuesday to Saturday when our full kitchen team is on hand. Please keep this in mind when placing your booking.

Very happy with our meal at Gigis while staying overnight at the Clairfield Hotel. The food was delicious and most enjoyable. Would visit again if in Mudgee again

We could only order cocktails from the limited menu, French martini was tasteless, Gigi’s margarita was better. When we first asked about a kids menu, we were told that the menu was new and kids options weren’t available. The next time we asked, we were told the choices were ‘calamari, chicken, or pasta’. Further questioning - it was ‘panko chicken’ and ‘gnocchi with meatballs’. The pumpkin ravioli with lamb ragu tasted like leftovers, but the broccolini was crisp and delicious. The desserts were generously sized, but we couldn’t order any desserts for the kids - not a plain scoop of ice cream to be seen. Considering we were staying in the ‘family suite’ at the attached Clairfield Hotel, and our kids are well travelled, this was a real disappointment. If you’re looking to try a range of local wines with your meal, this is not the place. To improve the overall feel of the restaurant, we’d suggest not having two new staff on at the same time, and packing away the laptop/paperwork before dinner service. Our experience at the hotel and wellness centre was wonderful, but the restaurant was a letdown this time, especially when there are so many other options close by.

I’d booked way back in April as it’s my wife’s 40th and our 15th wedding anniversary, when we got there we were put on a tall table, normally reserved for drinks/snacks. It’s awkward trying to eat with your elbows so high up. Waitress didn’t know what a Chardonnay was, put our order through, then 10 mins later another waitress came up to take our order??? Great communication there. Food arrived, they’d given us the wrong sides, so had to wait for the rest to come out. We were there over an hour before anyone came to offer another round or desserts. Food was amazing though, pork was melt in your mouth with perfect crispy skin, and pumpkin side was very nicely cooked. only minor issue was the lady fingers were hard in the tiramisu, maybe forgot to soak in coffee before putting them in, but otherwise well worth the wait.

Lovely restaurant, great food. Super disappointed in wine list. Almost no local wines. That was really sad. They should be promoting Mudgee wines!

Wonderful food and very good value for money. The only thing that let it down was the service. We showed up 5 minutes late to our reservation and were told to wait at the bar as they had to find us a table. We were rushed into making drink and food orders at the same time, then once our order was taken we were forgotten about. We had to get the attention of another server to get another round of drinks. We sat their after our mains waiting for a server to bring us a menu to order dessert but they never came and they were all standing in the bar having a giggle until we approached them to pay our bill.
