   The Carrara wagyu strip is my favorite steak in Chicago! We love the food here. Carrie was a great server and the service all around was top notch.

   Everything was excellent, as it always is. Gibson’s Italia is “Best in Class” and should be a must experience for anyone, everyone when in the Chicago area.

   One of the best views in the area. Service was very fast and all staff were friendly. Food was delicious with good portion sizes.

   Overall the experience was good but there was one surprising miss with the food, the cacio e pepe was watery and pretty bland. It's a really hard dish to execute (I've tried many times), but I have had it at other high-end restaurants and even at a nice restaurant in Rome so I know what that dish is capable of being. Still, the majority of the meal was executed well, but for $700 after tip for 4 people, I would expect better execution of the pasta at a steakhouse where the name indicates a degree of specialization in Italian cuisine. For that reason I can't say I'd go back when there are better steakhouses in Chicago in my opinion.

    When we arrived and were seated, the AC was not working. The Asst General Manager checked in with us, offered us seating on another floor, but also informed us that a technician was working on it. We decided to stay put. He came back to let us know it was up and running. The room cooled down quickly. Our table was perfect with an amazing view. Julie was our server and she was fantastic. Food, ambience and service was all terrific!
