   Overall the experience was good but there was one surprising miss with the food, the cacio e pepe was watery and pretty bland. It's a really hard dish to execute (I've tried many times), but I have had it at other high-end restaurants and even at a nice restaurant in Rome so I know what that dish is capable of being. Still, the majority of the meal was executed well, but for $700 after tip for 4 people, I would expect better execution of the pasta at a steakhouse where the name indicates a degree of specialization in Italian cuisine. For that reason I can't say I'd go back when there are better steakhouses in Chicago in my opinion.

   When we arrived and were seated, the AC was not working. The Asst General Manager checked in with us, offered us seating on another floor, but also informed us that a technician was working on it. We decided to stay put. He came back to let us know it was up and running. The room cooled down quickly. Our table was perfect with an amazing view. Julie was our server and she was fantastic. Food, ambience and service was all terrific!

   Wonderful attention to detail and exceptional service. Food was delicious especially roasted beet salad and Chicago cut steak with truffle butter.

   Came here to celebrate a promotion, moving to a new state and a birthday. We also live in the building across the river and stare at this place all the time. We were really hopeing of sitting anywhere near a window to celebrate the move and reminisce on our time in Chicago and noted this on the reservation. We got sat in the worst seating the house. Middle of the room and far from a window but not even in a booth. We thought maybe they just didn't seat 2 tops on the window but we proceeded to see 4 different couple along the window. Would have waited for a different seat. The place is very cramped and loud with little thought put to noise dampening. Server was nice. Food was fine enough but the prosciutto and mozzarella was not a great combination of flavors. The crispy Brussels were not crispy, tasted like they were done in a large batch early in the night then sat and steamed away any crispiness. Filet was fine but not for the price. The highlight was the focaccia bread. Extremely anticlimactic of a night, wish we jsut stayed home and packed instead of trying to do something special here.

   It was great from the food to the service the only problem was a bird pooped on our table and almost into my food. Thankfully our waiter helped by wiping the table down. Will be going back there again!

    A great experience - great food, service, and view (the decor, the people watching, and out the window). A few items were arguably overpriced, but quality overall was top notch.
