   As always, the service was great. Jeffery went beyond the normal level of service and made us feel very special for our anniversary, even providing us with a celebratory desert. Will def be back for casual dinners and special occasions thanks to him.

    Our server was wonderful. He spaced our our meal so it was really relaxing and we were able to eat everything - despite a big order. The food was amazing and so was the bubbly.

    I hate to rate this experience, as you have been , up until now my go-to fine dining for a special occasion. I specifically made the reservation for 4:30 thinking it would be ok. I am in a wheelchair, which I have noted on my reservations in the past, and have had great experiences. However, my reservation on 5/13 was horribly disappointing. The 3rd fl. Dining room was overcrowded and extremely noisy. The table I requested near the entrance was ignored, and they chose to seat us in an area in the back which required serpentine maneuvers and upsetting seated diners to get there. Once seated, it was difficult to maneuver the small table, we were a party of four, it was difficult to keep everything on the table without knocking glasses. The diners around us were noisy, on their phones, and videotaping which I didn’t appreciate. Despite the horrible environment and lack of service, the food and drinks were delicious, but exiting was a nightmare, and definitely not worth the $500.00 tab. I will not return, and I’m advising you to rethink your treatment of loyal patrons.

    Overall was a great experience, we were celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday, she really loved the place and what I really appreciate is that they gave me a nice seat with the river view as I requested in case that it was possible, the only thing was that despite I wrote on the notes that it was her birthday, we did not receive anything for her birthday celebration, I wasn’t expecting them to gift us something to be honest but It would’ve been great if at least the staff acknowledged her with a Happy birthday to surprise her, that was the only thing that disappointed me a little bit, but we really loved the food, the ambiance and service was really good from the whole staff, we will definitely be back, maybe not for a birthday celebration but to eat great Italian food, thank you!

    Professional and attentive staff from arrival to departure. Our server came to our table promptly, offering the wine list and confirmed that we were celebrating a special occasion (MBA graduation dinner!). Food and drink were exceptional as were the views of the Chicago River.

    We had a fantastic time. The food was beyond our expectation. It was a treasure meeting the Asst. Manager. However, we felt we were imposing on our waiter. He wasn't real helpful when we asked questions. We won't let that stop us from returning though.

    Everything was very nice. Steak came out overcooked for 3 of 3 steaks. They quickly fixed it and were very apologetic. Overall we enjoyed all of the food. Connor, our server, was exceptional.

    I took my bf here for his birthday. I had high expectations at this price point and was disappointed. It took a long time to get our drinks. We both ordered steaks medium-rare - they came out well done. They quickly redid them and even brought a fresh side. The steaks and sides were nothing special. The service was good and the atmosphere was comfortable. I would consider going back for drinks at the bar and apps.

    Took my husband here for his birthday, he loved the variety in the menu & everything we ordered was both delicious & beautifully presented. Our waiter was fantastic & the view of the river was an added bonus for us tourists. The complimentary chocolate/coffee torte they brought him was exactly what he would have ordered if it’d been on menu. We both loved it & will absolutely return to both Chicago & Gibsons again soon.     Was disappointed. Sat down and it took awhile to get acknowledged after being seated. Didn’t get even asked for a drink order. Table next to us got seated way after us and their waiter was a lot more engaged and accommodating. They got acknowledged before us yet seated way after. Our Waitress never spoke about anything on the menu barely engaged with us. Won’t be back I was really hoping to like this place and had high expectations as I’ve been wanting to go for awhile.

    Gibsons is my favorite restaurant in the city - particularly for making good impressions with colleagues, mentors, etc. Noise level is always perfect for conversation. The atmosphere is impressive and food is incredible. With that being said, on this visit we ordered the Arancini, meatballs, agnolotti, chicken parm, and Brussels sprouts. However, I’ve had many other items on the menu. And It’s really tough to go wrong.
