WE HAD A GREAT TIME AND WILL RETURN AGAIN.
Great all around for Mother’s Day.
The unlimited menu for Mother’s Day was lovely. It was a bit loud at times and the kitchen got overwhelmed a bit, but no one was stressing. This is a beautiful restaurant and I look forward to returning to order off the full menu to get a taste of their other items.
Disappointed with their Mothers Day brunch. Food was average and not worth the $45pp price. Especially since their usual weekend brunch options are so terrific. Better to stick with their usual menu for lunch and dinner.
The restaurant offers a special all you can eat buffet for Mother’s Day and we have gone there in the past for this occasion… it was amazing as always. Their food is always terrific! The people are so polite and the ambiance in the restaurant is beautiful. The bartender is an amazing artist and draws some magnificent pieces of art on the walls. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Always a pleasure to eat here. Started with brussles sprouts, stuffed mushrooms, and house Chardonnay. Everything was fantastic. Main was Monday night cheese wheel pasta. Tricolor cheese tortellini, sausage, in a pink tomato sauce. Also the lamb chops. Finished with Nutella cheesecake
Food was amazing, we all ordered something different and were all impressed. My lamb chops were divine! Service was slow. But they were packed, and I think a little overwhelmed. Definitely will be coming back!
Great Italian cuisine at a fair price. Lots of high quality food.
Such a great restaurant! My husbands and I go to Italian restaurant and close by. The Nutella cheesecake will have me coming back more often now. The food is never disappointing and I just point at anything and know that it will taste amazing
As usual, our experience at Giardino’s was superb. We went for their monthly wine tasting and it was wonderful. Karina makes everyone who walks into the restaurant feel like they are family. All the staff is friendly and work very hard to make sure everything is perfect. Giardino’s is the perfect place for any occasion.
We love this neighborhood restaurant.
This was the first date we had been on in a while since Covid! The food was delicious but the speed of delivery was not great and service was just okay!
We love this place! Customer service is excellent. Food is delicious!
The worst service ever ! They sat us at a table that was not cleaned ( covid rules ?) It took 45 minutes to give us our drinks, and 1 hour and 50 minutes to give us our food. Other tables got drinks in 15 minutes and food in 30 to 40 minutes. We got napkins and silverware after after asking for it after about a hour. We complained and were told the kitchen was backed up. We got bread but no bread plates. No knives to cut bread and spread the butter . We used our pocket knife. We were sitting outside and got cold. For a short time we were given two heaters. One ran out of gas in 15 minutes and the other heater was moved to some new guests that complained about the cold. It left us with nothing. Just a terrible dining experience. The manager/ owner was there and never came to discuss things with us.
Best food! Found this place just a few months back and it’s our new family favorite! Honestly haven’t had a bad meal yet. It is not “fast food” it is fresh food made from scratch and worth every minute you wait for it. Enjoy a bottle of wine an appetizer.....and get ready for a fabulous meal!! The owner is always on site and so sweet. From beginning to end it is best spot in town right now.
We had such great service and delicious food. We can’t wait to go back
We went for Restaurant Week to try out & the food was really good. But I noticed what we had for restaurant week was not on the main menu. Which bums me out because the Chicken Marsala I had was great & I would go back for that. Spinach salad with beets was great & the Lemon Sorbet was perfect! I’ll go back.
We loVe that we are always welcomed, the food is always good and the ambiance and Decor are lovely.
It was a very cute place, but the food was really over priced for below average Italian. The service was friendly, but they didn’t do a great job bussing and making sure we had fresh plates for each course. Had to ask for silverware. We really wanted to like it but for the price we paid it was not good. Husband got lobster gnocchi. The lobster was way over cooked and just a lobster tail plopped on top of some really mealy gnocchi. I had pork Parmesan. The pork chop was ok. The marinara was very sweet. Being Italian and making my own food a lot, I know the bar was probably set a little high but it was highly disappointing after reading Positive reviews. Being an east coaster has spoiled me.
Our server was working very hard and did a wonderful job! The food was fantastic for all three of us.
It's a very quaint establishment, good for a date night, family get together, great lunch place. Service was spot on.. We went for a Birthday celebration and Restaurant week, food was Great!!
Went for restaurant week. Food was amazing as usual ended with tiramisu but ate it before I could grab a picture. Love this spot total hidden gem
The food and the service was great, the place is a little dark but I guess is intended, I will definitely recommend it and visit again
First visit here; there is parking in the back and ample street parking. Be careful if you have to cross, the street is very busy!! Service was great and the food is good. Nice neighborhood spot and glad to have something like this close by, SOOO tired of the crowds and no or expensive parking downtown, Hillcrest and North Park. Ravioli and gnocchi dishes were good, sausage panini (actually just a sandwich) was good also. Food was flavorful, perfect size portions and served up fresh. We will definitely try again.
The atmosphere is tranquil, yet exciting. Decor is simple and natural. Food is authentic and offers phenomenal flavor!
Amazing food, highly recommended! Great service! Will return soon thank you!!
We will definitely come back! Food was delicious! Service was amazing!
Birthday dinner. I’m always happy to find gluten free Italian options. This food was excellent! We were stuffed and happy! Excellent service, too!
Back again! This time to celebrate a special occasion. Giardino is everything I want in a local eatery. Close, reasonably priced, and delicious! Will be back soon.
Giardino's was unexpectedly wonderful! They have created very nice ambiance outside, with a somewhat enclosed area and string lights. I was impressed with their wine selection as well as the food offerings. My husband and I shared the Crispy Brussel Sprouts and we each chose our own pizza. The San Danielle was very Italian-like, with fresh arugula, a wonderful red sauce, ample prosciutto for each slice and best of all, burrata cheese right in the middle! My husband ordered a meat pizza, of course. The sausage appeared to be homemade and was very good! Overall, we had a very nice night out and enjoyed our time at Giardino's! Suggestions for potential diners: if you sit outside, don't look eastward past the seating area to the mass of freeway overpasses. We arrived at 615pm so the traffic sound from being right on Broadway was quite noticeable but it eventually quieted down and then it was quite nice! Overall, it is so nice having a authentic feeling Italian restaurant in an unexpected place!
Easter Brunch was delicious!
One of my favorite places, luckily it’s just down the street from where I live. The service is always great there, it feels like a family run restaurant...that good food and good service means something to them.
We went to Giardino’s for their Easter brunch. It was an all you can eat extravaganza. You could order up to 5 dishes at a time to be served family style. It was all very delicious. Karina made us all feel like we were dining at her home. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this lovely Italian restaurant. There are several different specials going on periodically including the wine tasting on the last Sunday of the month. Lots of great wine, fun people and delicious food. Dog friendly outdoor patio is just the icing on the cake.
Delicious Italian food for a reasonable price. The fish is outstanding. The pasta and red sauce are delicious. They have done a. Excellent job making comfortable outdoor dining in Lemon Grove. Love it!
Giardinos is undoubtedly one of the best Italian restaurant in San Diego. I know when you think Italian you don’t think Lemon Grove but don’t let that stop you from eating here. The staff is so friendly, they make you feel like family. The food is absolutely superb. My husband is gluten free and the gluten free pasta is wonderful. I love the flat breads. Honestly, I love everything. Next time you feel like having a truly memorable dining experience. Don’t hesitate to go to Giardinos. It will quickly become one of your favorites.
Truly a great experience every time we eat there.
Delicious food and service
Best ambiance, great food, friendly staff, family friendly and did I mention the food is GREAT ! Wonderful outside seating available.
Always great service and the nicest owners. Good never disappoints!!!
