Expected the quality of the food to be better since it was a celebrity (named) restaurant. Prices for what you got were fair. Upset about the portions extremely small.
Service with Lois was fantastic! Everything else except the Rockfish was disappointing. (ROCKFISH WAS VERY GOOD) Overly cheesy and buttery on everything else. ( Recommend Little Italy restaurants instead.)
Great food, wonderful atmosphere!
We went there for dinner during Restaurant Week. There are two choices each for starter and dessert and three choices for mains. One of the starters is an arugula salad and the chicken Parmesan main comes with a pile of arugula on top. The crab risotto balls were good and actually had lumps of crab inside. The desserts were good though the tiramisu is much too large for one person. The brownie affrogato was the better choice though still on the large side. (Basically, a brownie sundae)
Much better if they had opened up a broader menu selection or at least chosen a lighter option dessert.
A wine pairing is offered for $10 more but it is essentially a single glass of wine and you choose from a white, a red, or a prosecco.
I have been wanting to get to GDL ever since it opened. Finally went for Restaurant Week...and it did not disappoint! The food was very good and I loved the atmosphere. While RW is always a good deal, I thought the prices on the regular menu were reasonable considering Giada's name is attached to it. So I look forward to going back and trying more of the yummy looking things on the menu...Restaurant Week or not!
Food was delicious and servers were friendly and accommodating. We liked the personalized touches especially the photo booth.
Great service. The food seemed to be a little more hyped up because of it’s name, so the flavors didn’t quite live up to the restaurant name.
Great brunch foods and friendly service. The pizza was fantastic.
Very poor service, not accommodating to dietary restrictions at all (I can not eat dairy or gluten and there were no dishes listed that I could eat without it being altered. When I told our waitress my restrictions, I asked her if she could tell the chef what they were and that I would take whatever he came up with. She said, well I could ask, but he’s going to send me right back to tell you what can be taken off the only dish you can have (basically pan seared salmon. The only other option was paying $11 for a plate of lettuce.,)getting our food and drinks took forever (especially considering how empty the restaurant was on a Saturday night.,) the attitude of the staff was terrible and disrespectful to our group
It was very nice!
Outstanding service and the antipasto sampler appetizer was the best we have ever had.
Great food, our waiter was excellent, meatball trio appetizer was delish as was the branzino meal.
Service was OK. Food was poor. Location was horrible. I'd never go back. Very disappointed.
Home for Christmas and came for dinner. Food was good, the steak was amazing. Service was great.
Loved the vibe in the restaurant. The staff was amazing and the food was fresh and well prepared.
It was a pleasant evening. When we sat in the lounge area waiting for the rest of our party, we had to go to the bar to get our drinks. Other than that everyone was accommodating and the food was good.
Decided to go here for a break of the hum drum. Appetizers excellent. The Mussels were not as I generally like, lack of Garlic and wine , too much onion. Chicken Parm was very good. Before meal bread excellent. Our waitress Sloan, was outstanding, a fantastic personality , she was one of the highlights . Going forward I would only want her to be our waitress.
Second visit... both great... last one was super. Food was excellent. Service was superb.
Arrived about 10 minutes early for a 730 reservation. Was informed that we would need to wait in their lounge area until someone was able to seat us. Once seated, service was very good and attentive, food was excellent. Was a little noisy overall, but then again the restuarant is located in a casino. Was pleased overall.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at GDL. The food was fantastic. One of our favorite servers, Jaclyn, did not work when we dined. Another server, Slonne, filled in without missing a beat and served us well. We look forward to dining at GDL again in the near future.
We enjoyed GDL and were not disappointed, but there are better Italian restaurants at this price point. That being said, the crab arancini and meat ball trio starters were very good
First time there, took a group of employees for a year end celebration and was very happy. Restaurant is very spacious and comfortable and food was as good as expected. Sloane was our server and despite being a party of 12, she had no problem navigating through the many questions and challenges a party of that size can create. Overall it was a great experience and I look forward to going back. Well done!!!
Bartender was wonderful and accommodating. Happy hour on Sunday noted on website, but not real.
Marketed as more healthy options however food was tasteless and over priced. Decor was austere and cold. I wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend.
Very nice. Food was very good w/ good selection. Service as excellent; attentive w/o being annoying. Had a wonderful time.
The meatball trio appetizer was a highlight of the meal. The pork chop had a crispy coating. The creamed corn was surprisingly spicy due to the sausage. The chicken piccata disappointed due to a sauce that was mostly butter with very little lemon flavor, and a lack of spaghetti. Service was excellent, but the restaurant was pretty empty.
We were very excited to try the resteraunt, however it was nothing to be excited about.
Meatball trio was the best thing we had all night. Lemon smashed potatoes were a close second. Chicken parm, rockfish, and burrata were not very good. $5 for 5 noodles of pasta is way overpriced!
We won’t be returning.
This is s great restaurant, but there is no ambiance. Lighting is too bright. The food was fresh and delicious and service are generous. I would go back
Great service and delicious meal!
The service was excellent as usual at the Giada rest. that I have been to. From the hostess to the server and managers. Very friendly and prompt with their service. The oysters were my favorite dish and best I have had so far.
Totally disappointed. Food was mediocre and very limited. Appetizer was served on a plastic plate. Pasta which is sold ala carte never arrived. Servers were pleasant but ineffective.
Food was delicious.. my only complaint is about the service... waitstaff unpolished.
Sad to say I was slightly let down by my experience at GDL. Being a famous chef’s restaurant, I had high expectations, but from the huge lack of ambiance (being steps away from all the rings and dings of the slot machines) to the food being just perfectly OK Italian food, I was not thrilled. Plenty of other places in Baltimore to get authentic Italian meals with the appropriate ambiance.
Food was excellent. Brownie dessert was blah. Our reservation was at 6:45 and it took 10 minutes at least to be seated even though the restaurant was less than half full. Took about 10 more minutes for the assistant server to come over only to tell us we couldn't order drinks from her because she wasn't 21. Then it was another 10 minutes until our server came over and took our drink and food order. Food came out quickly which was great but we had food for at least 5 minutes before getting our drinks. Drinks were excellent once we got them. Overall I'd go back and just sit at the bar. Not a good place for a "nice" dinner since the service is so slow. Our servers may have been serving all the tables in the whole place and if that is the case that is on the management.
We had a reservation, but were forced to wait over 15 minutes to be seated. Staff is very courteous and once seated, our waiter was attentive without being smothering. overall a very nice experience and the food was very good.
Waiting staff was very attentive. Drinks were good. Somewhat disappointed in the food. It was very mediocre and the pasta servings extremely small. I ordered the whole fish and while it was fine...it was a little dry and they would not de-bone it for me. Did not care much for the desert at all. Overall, not a very strong menu or amazing experience. I, unfortunately, would have expected more from Giada.
Beautiful restaurant, so so food. Giada’s Vegas restaurant is so much better.
The food was delicious, the service harrried but competent considering the “after the football game” crowd. Perhaps a bit noisier than normal for the same reason.
We are second timers here. The first time we were very disappointed. Our waitress was a wash out. I have issues with salt and Jacqueline couldnt help us and we ended up leaving
But we decided to give this restaurant a second chance. Our waiter Louis was excellent. From start to finish he took excellent care of us. My wife ordered the Giada ribeye and said it was the best ribeye she ever ate. I had salmon cooked exactly the way I wanted We would definitely come back to this restaurant and did I mention that we live in Philadelphia and travel down for a great meal.
The food was excellent. The restaurant had friendly atmosphere. I can't wait to visit again.
