Gather55 is a unique restaurant that supports the mission work of Hands On Hartford. Each month a different Guest Chef offers a special menu for our guests. Where else can you sample offerings from award-winning chefs all in one meal? Gather55 is in the Parkville neighborhood of Hartford and there is plenty of free parking adjacent to the restaurant.

We had an excellent meal. Delicious, appealing and creative. We ordered the crab cake, spring schnitzel (delicious sauce!), and lemon berry dessert. It was top notch food and knowing it supports the mission of the daytime program is a win-win. The servers are always friendly and personable too.

Gather 55's prix fixe 3 course dinner was delicious. The lobster ravioli & crab cake appetizers were excellent. The special monthly dinner with a jazz trio made the evening more special. Our server was very courteous and professional. She told us that she had first started as a volunteer. Sorry we've forgotten her name. Rob Maffucci, their director, was on hand to assist in every way and it was nice to chat with him again. We look forward to joining them again.

A hidden gem. Excellent food from a rotating menu created by a variety of local chefs. Very warm and personal service. It also feels good that it’s nonprofit, with the proceeds going to help people.

The food for dinner was truly unique and very tasty. The portions were just right. I had the crab cake, sea bass bouillabaisse and lemon sefferito. Each was delicious and the service was excellent, with a down to earth charm. The food can only be topped by the mission of this restaurant, which supports its community meals programs. For example, a family on a limited income can order good food from a menu for breakfast or lunch for $3 or $7 each. Families can sit at a table and their meal served by wait staff, providing dignity.

We have enjoyed dinner here before but we were a little disappointed this time. Our carne asado was too salty and our Basque cheesecake was a mystery which tried to hard to be creative. Unfortunately many menu items had an upcharge too. We do love the concept of the visiting chefs and the seasonal menu.

We had a lovely evening at Gather55🌷we enjoyed a magnificent meal prepared by Johan Jensen. Johan was the featured chef of the month and his talent was evident in every bite ! The atmosphere was charming and the staff was kind and respectful. We were happy to share in the restaurant’s mission.
