We had a spectacular meal at Gather55! There were 4 diners and we sampled 2 choices from each of the 3 courses-one more delicious than the next. However, in addition to the food, the staff is amazing. You are met with a smile and a warm greeting immediately when you arrive and each person you come into contact with is friendly and welcoming. They seem happy to be working there! The manager stopped at our table 3 different times and we had conversations with him about the mission of Gather55 and its unique place among Hartford's restaurants. It's a very good feeling to have an outstanding dining experience while also doing good for our community!

Delicious!!! We had the most wonderful evening!! The food was top notch and the service was the best we’ve ever had. You really feel so comfortable from the minute you get there, very cozy. Wine was fabulous and the desert OMG. Honestly all the courses (including the butter) were out of this world. I only wish I found it sooner, can’t wait to go back!!

Food was so good! Our waiter was amazing! There were certain aspects of the space that was lovely(the windows that were glass and Victorian in nature and the paintings) but they need to make better use of that old bat! The brass railing is stunning—— wine bottles stored in the back, maybe. We respect the mission of the restaurant and we would love to return

Date night at this lovely restaurant. Food was exquisite and the service exceptional. Very friendly staff. Only wine and beer, but an extensive list of both. Prix fixe menu had many beautiful choices. There wasn't anything about it we both didn't really enjoy... great restaurant with a great mission (helping so many others in the community).

An absolutely outstanding dinner, made only better by the knowledge of who, and what stands behind it. The mission of the staff here is incredible, heartwarming, and almost beyond belief in its scope and delivery. We are humbled by the dedication of the organization that takes on this 'so important' need of society, and the manner in which they make good on their mission. And almost more important from an experience standpoint, the waitstaff is beyond belief in their dedication and knowledge of the organization that they so loudly, but softly and confidently, and willingly, take the time to explain in as much detail as you desire. I will NEVER return to this are of the country and NOT make reservations here. Everyone who enjoys amazing food, in a wonderful environment, around people who have so much more than outstanding cooking on their minds, must dine here. Truly an experience worth the small effort needed to participate in.

We really enjoyed dining at Gather55. We had pasta and the arugula salad, both delicious. Then had the beef wellingtons for our entrees. The food was good. The service was excellent. Andrea and Ryan work as a team. They are friendly, knowledgeable and are passionate about Gather55. We will continue to dine there and bring friends

Outstanding and just five stars feels inadequate It just isn’t enough to explain our dinner experience at Gather 55. We both studied the menu beforehand and decided what we wanted, but that changed when we heard about the Chef’s surprise Beef Wellington special! It was beyond expectations. The food was so good. Plenty to take home for a second meal the next day too. We had a great time talking and catching up over drinks. Cannot wait to go back. Great value, great service, great food, beautiful atmosphere all to help serve the community. It is a unique and meaningful experience! Try it and tell your friends.

The menu was unique and interesting. We liked that a different chef prepared each menu item. The food was prepared to perfection. The chef greeted each table of guests during the evening. He told us about the mission of Gather 55. Great concept - we will be back.

A lively Friday night at Gather55 and the service was excellent and food was superb. We were a party of four and our first courses were soft shell crab, pasta bolognese and avocado and corn toast. We loved them! Entrees were the Beef Wellington special which was top notch and roasted broccoli also delicious. Finally, the desserts were the creamy budino and soft cookie and nothing was left behind! We can’t get over this hidden treasure in Hartford. Chef Rob visited our table for a few minutes. A wonderful addition to Gather55’s talented staff.

You can’t beat the friendly and knowledgeable staff at Gather55. They make such a difference-so great job Andrea, Angelique and Ryan. I tried two new items on the menu, the cioppino (appetizer) and bundino (dessert) which were excellent, along with the chicken dish which was again delicious. I love the mission of Gather55 and look forward to coming back.

Hosted 8 friends for dinner. Food was amazing - especially liked the soft shelled crab, the bolognese pasta, the pancetta with polenta, the vegetarian curried potatoes with samosa and the flourless chocolate cake. Service was attentive and excellent. Add a great mission to feed the community and this is a very unique experience. Will definitely return.

i had heard good things about gather55 . i love their mission . we struggled to understand gluten free . the apps were ok the dinner was meh. the pork was way over cooked and the chicken was not very flavorful the olive oil desert was thick and bland overall i will not be back

Everything was terrific about dining at Gather55. From the no wait time for our table, to the superb service, the absolutely mouth watering food, the pacing of the courses, and the overall ambience. I highly recommend Gather55, incredibly low cost for the fine dining food (OMG - the softshell crab and the pork chop Milanese were to die for) and an amazing dining experience. Can't wait to return.
