    Lovely comfy setting Very good food except for the Cesar salad which was terrible. Trout was excellent. Pasta was good. Burger was good. Best thing was the beet salad.

    Elk bolognase was delicious. It had big wide noodles. Very filling. Our guest did not eat much so gave it to us to bring home.

    We love this place. Pork buns are a must. It’s all about the pork buns. Best item on the menu. The Jack and Ginny cocktail too. Truffle pasta with fried chicken added is the off the menu sleeper dish. The mexican-themed pork shank dish was a dud though, shank is good but the sides (tortilla and sweet potato crisps) don’t make a lot of sense. Don’t forget to add “kitchen love” to your order to help take care of the food prep staff. I wish that option was available in more restaurants.

    Dinner at Gather was our last meal of our weeklong vacation. We were excited. We were seated and brought water immediately. And then we sat. The table next to us was seated less than 1 minute before us. They had drinks and we had yet to see our server. We stopped the other server in our section and asked if we could order drinks. She told us she thought the bartender was our waiter and took our order. And then we sat - again. No bartender/waiter. We asked the other server and she told us she gave him our drink order. We finally got our drinks and ordered. No one came back to check on us. My husband wanted another drink and stood up to go to the bar. A woman in a black jacket and gray pants stopped and offered to get his drink. She brought it back and apologized saying the bar back called in sick and the bartender was new - ok- maybe he shouldn’t be serving too?! I shared our frustration with the lack of service. She apologized again and said the drink was on the house. One would think they would do better - but nope. The food arrived. I had the house salad with chicken. My husband had the bison short rib. The risotto was cold - not even slightly warm. No bartender/waiter to be seen. We stopped the woman - again - and told her. She took his plate and said she would be back. And then we sat again. I ate my dinner alone as my husband waited for hot food. It finally arrived and we checked the risotto - slightly warm - not hot. At that point the woman said our meal was on the house. We left without my husband eating and went somewhere else so he could have dinner. It appeared we were the only table with the bartender/waiter. Everyone around us had the other server and seemed to have great, attentive service. I’m guessing the woman who helped us was the manager. She was given multiple chances to fix the issues, but never did. Such an unfortunate experience. The good news for us is we had excellent service and food for all our other meals in Jackson Hole.

    We had an amazing dining experience at Gather last Thursday evening. The service was superb! Our server was great, but the manager was present, checking on our every need. It was our son’s birthday, so it was a special occasion. The food and drinks were 5 star! We had the caramelized onion dip for a starter. So good. My husband and I both ordered the evening special: the BBQ shrimp with polenta and veggies! Delicious! Son ordered the trout. He loved it! I highly recommend this restaurant. We’ve dined here many times, but this time was THE BEST! We feel lucky we live in Jackson so we can come back soon!

    Great service, terrific food. We had the beet salad, trout and elk bolognese and it was all top-notch. The house cocktail made with jalapeno-infused tequila was delicious. I have a food allergy and the kitchen was very accomodating. Our server was Sunshine and she was among the best servers we've ever had, anywhere. Highly recommend Gather as a dining choice!

    All in all, a good experience. We both thought the roasted brussels sprouts were very good. The wine by glass prices were reasonable and we enjoyed the Malbec and Cotes du Rhone on the menu. Local ice cream for dessert was also very good.

    Unfortunately, if I had to find a single word to describe Gather, I would struggle between “mediocre” and “tepid”. Every single dish was luke warm, without exception. The soup was more of a salsa or paste, and felt like eating crushed tomatoes from a can. The bolognese was more of a soup. While most reviews seem to be good, I could not recommend Gather.

    We liked the food and service so much that we went to Gather twice in one week. ( We were staying in Jackson for the week. ) Robert was so personable and knew the menu in great detail. His suggestions were right on par for us. We returned a second time and had the pleasure of Shannon as our server. Both servers and the four different meals we tried were superb.

    Had a great meal and time here. The Brussel Sprouts were possible the best I’ve had. Even my wife liked them. The Pork Shank was cooked perfectly and oven baked for my gf needs. It was falling off the bone and the puréed carrots and jalapeño base added some great flavor. Our only discomfort was how close seating is others. Our neighbors talked loudly over their meal, but the young gentleman’s attempt to impress his date kept us entertained, so not a total loss. Thanks for a great experience overall.

    Our waitress was also bartending so her 20 minute delay in getting our order might be excused. Wine list is good. Split a salad but didn’t have utensils to take it out of the serving bowl (most restaurants go ahead and put smaller portions on plates). Nothing outstanding but nothing awful

    I have eaten here nearly a dozen times and it's always a consistently great meal. I once had dinner on a busy night with a friend I had not seen in ten years and the wait staff never pressured us to leave, which was commendable!     2nd time here and it was different. Food still very good, but presentation a bit careless. Mushroom toast arrived with most of the mushrooms fallen off the baguette, and one piece complete upended, messy. The trout was ok, the sauce was too strong to my liking, overpowered the fish. I preferred the previous version, slashed trout with citrus inside, simple and beautiful. We also had to wait for a group of 50 to depart. All in all a nice dinner and lots of great options.

    We were given a gift card to eat there and it was so good!!! Food was delicious and Rosie, our server was so nice and knowledgeable about what we ordered and recommendations. She was very attentive to us the whole time. We will definitely eat there again!
