The staff were amazing, from the podium to dessert! I had the scallops, perfectly seared and lovely taste. The ceviche was tasty, as well! A very nice place for chilling or eating!
The food was great! The oysters were really fresh and not fishy at all. I would recommend skipping the clam chowder as it was super salty.
The indoor restaurant had a strange damp, chemical-y smell that was off-putting, so we moved outside which was much better.
David was such a great waiter! Excellent customer service. The seafood tower was yummy but the fish and chips stole my heart. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening.
Great place…best clam chowder I’ve had in a while!! We had a nice bottle of wine. Staff is friendly…we’ll be back, for sure!!
We understand that each city/region is different, but the staff did not wear masks and patrons did not have any either. It felt a little unsafe, especially since the staff didnt wear masks and sanitization stations were pretty much non-existent. The food was good, the wait to get a table was not so good. We made reservations for 7:30. Arrived around 7:25. We were told to wait a few minutes since we were early, yet there were tables available. Our waitress was fantastic, but the hostess not so much.
Great dinner, the oysters were very small that would be the only thing. Great night amazing food and energetic atmosphere
My best friends birthday
The lobster bisque was excellent.
Got seated on time. Had a pretty good meal, wish oysters were more plump. Scallops and glazed salmon were delicious and gave in to the tempting chocolate bread pudding. A bit pricey but happy to help out in recovery of local restaurants.
Awful food. Some of the worst fish I have ever had. Fish tasted spoiled.
Like everywhere - a bit short staffed , but communication and hustle made up for it
The food is obscenely overpriced for no reason. Service was horrendous. Go someplace else
Great food! Had their oysters (yum!), ribeye, and their Cajun seafood. Topped it off with their homemade butterscotch pudding! It was a great dinner, we thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant!
Good food nice wait staff
It was my wife’s birthday and we met four couples for happy hour. It was a great time and the food and service were great.
Short staffed, service poor
A bit over priced for the food. The wait staff was thin, but they worked hard to stay on top of it
"Diver" Scallops weren't.. They were standard fare sea scallops, but done reasonably nicely,, unfortunate that the garlic mashed potato bedding lacked garlic flavor and were only lukewarm. Rockfish portion was huge, suitable for two. Though large, it was overcooked, dry around edges... sigh... Highpoint was bisque and chowder starters.. and this was 7pm on a Wednesday night.. they weren't exactly slammed.. Too bad. Won't be back
Had fish and chips and they were good.
Halibut was good too. There was a dog on the patio that kept barking which was very annoying at dinner time. The waitress was nice but did not wear a mask . The location was good , close to everything. The restaurant smelled like fish. There was no one to greet us for a few minutes. The host or bar tender who finally came was not nice or customer service friendly.
Our waitress was great, but the food was just… good. There was nothing “wrong” with it, but my husbands steak was cold and my scallops were BARELY seared. There really weren’t very many people in the restaurant, so it was surprising that the food prep was not planned better.
Ps. The grilled cheese was nearly perfect. The bread was soooo good! All it needed was more butter on the griddled sides… there was almost none.
Food was fantastic. Our server was friendly, attentive, and helpful. Overall a great experience.
Not worth the price. My wife’s halibut was super thin and pan fried to a crisp. You should not hear a crunch when you cut a piece of fish. My bass had crab on top and was billed as spicy which I like, but there was so much spice you could not taste the crab or fish. The gas lamp is not what it used to be. Stay on the waterfront instead. We also had the cauliflower appetizer which had ok flavor, but was very oily.
Wonderfully welcoming staff and great service. Calamari was incredible!
Not impressed. Appetizers were very good. Was not impressed with the Entrees at all. Lobster was very small serving and not very good at all. Would be better off just getting appetizers and drinks
Understaffed and struggling. Saddest oysters I've ever seen
Had dinner here during my visit to the city. The staff was friendly and the food was great. I had the Ceviche and Louisiana Pasta. Excellent.
Excelk6foid,hood service...too many dogs!
I wasn't crazy about it at all. A little disappointing. The food Brussell sprouts were oily and the catch of the day, Halibut, was dry. We were seated outside right next to dogs. I hated it.
It wasn’t bad but nothing real special. Clam chowder was good tho
Natalia was amazing!great suggestions and service
We were seated next to window and there was a small intoxicated group who sat on sidewalk directly outside, a homeless person sat on window ledge with only window seperating us while we were eating. He was in bad shape, no shoes, filthy and torn, backside exposed, wanted to help but left as finished meal. As a result ambiance could be greatly improved. Service and food was very good though.
Very good food!
The floor is dirty and sticky. I ordered halibut it was over cooked with no flavor. The only positive is restaurant is in a great location
The food was good and super fresh. The service was terrible!! It's a good thing I never needed a drink refill, it was all she could do to bring my original soda and water along with taking my order. Had a food runner not brought my food out, I doubt she would have been capable of doing so. It doesn't take 10 minutes to run a credit card and apologizing constantly doesn't make it right.
Awesome hospitality. Knowledgeable and friendly servers. Such tasty food. Reasonably priced. We went twice during our recent San Diego vacation.
The NICEST and most hospitable waiter I have ever encountered. We went with two 5 year olds and a 2 year old- service was fast, staff was accommodating and kind and food was incredible. Great drinks, too. 10/10 recommend!
Food and menu looked great so my fiancé and I decided to try this place. Had a reservation for a Sunday night. Walked in and were immediately seated and given waters by the host. About 3/4 of the tables were open. From there we sat for 10 minutes without any acknowledgement from anyone. We were in the bar area. We decided to leave. For the prices we expected better. If someone came by and said “Hey, I’ll be by in a few minutes.” we would have stayed. Not a good experience.
Servers were great but the food did not taste fresh
Fish was overcooked and dry, and given its price, I expected better. Happy hour menu was good.
Food was excellent.
