Located inside the famous Chinese Gardens of Sydney, The Gardens by Lotus is an exciting ‘Teahouse’ style dining and events space.

The tranquil ‘Chinese Garden of Friendship’ provides a unique oasis like atmosphere in the heart of Australia’s busiest city. The venue draws from both aspect of its location with its modern interpretation of a Chinese high tea during the day and a modern Sichuan dining experience in the evenings, as well as ‘The Blue Room,’ a private dining space for events, functions and special occasions.

I have been to the bottomless yum cha a few times and each time I am reminded how delicious the food is how fabulous the staff are and how be6the gardens are I will keep going back.

Booked for a few adult and 1 child under 4. We asked and got confirmation during entry child is free. Asked again after being seated confirming child is free. When we went to pay, we were charged $25 for a 4 yr old. I was asked to check my receipt which I did. But only found out I got charged for the child after payment has been made. When I asked, I got this very blunt response "well I asked you to check, you should have told me before you made the payment" , she looked at my 4yr old and and asked how old is she? And I said 4, so she said "yes normally you don't have to pay for a 4 yr old" to which I said yes I know, I've been told twice, to which she responded "well I didn't serve you, do you want me to process a refund". Should I have not been given the refund with no questions asked? I told her don't worry about it. With that sort of attitude just forget it. What kind of manners is that? The rest of the experience was great, the lotus name got tainted by this one person's bad attitude.

The food was delicious and well presented, the service was discreet and impeccable. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Would highly recommend to anyone who loves Yum cha.

Thoroughly enjoyed our yum cha at Lotus Food was very good and bottomless although we were well satisfied after being served all the varieties. Service was friendly and prompt. Great setting . Already recommending to friends for a return visit .

We had a great experience at the gardens. The variety was good but some yum cha favorites were not on the menu. Also when I enquired about kids before my booking I was told 0-4yr olds were free but on the day was charged $25 for my 3yo which I was happy to do but it would have been nice to be told instead of being surprised on the day. Otherwise the service is exceptional and they were very tolerant of my 2 girls one of which did cry a bit. Having a seat right next to the fish pond was lovely too especially for my kids who loved watching the fish

Food was delicious. Atmosphere and ambience was lovely. Service wasn't very good unfortunately.
