The only thing that always bothers us is that the place is too dark! We don’t need club ambiance to have dinner

The experience was nice - but we were charged for two premium caipirinhas when we only had two regular ones. That sucked to see an extra up charge on the bill.. felt a bit sketchy.

This was our 5th visit to Galpo Gaucho. We became frequent guests as we compared this Brazilian restaurant to the other ones we’ve visited locally. By far the best experience regarding variety, taste, service and ambiance. We will definitely be returning.

My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary dinner and everything was awesome! Caipirinhas were delicious, just like in Rio and the entire experience was really great. The food was really good, service was on point and they even had a special attention for us. We will be back and absolutely recommend this place. The best Brazilian steakhouse in San Diego in our opinion!

It’s a lovely place but you may get overwhelmed by the amount of workers asking you if you need anything even when you turn the red card up. It’s like they form a line at your table one by one asking you a million questions. I’m here to eat when green card is faced up and red when I want to chat with my partner in peace. This place isn’t cheap, easily leave out of there $200 but at the cost of what I mentioned above.

Seems like they are reducing the quality of their food. Used to be my favorite Brazilian steakhouse. Now, I won’t return unless I hear the food has improved.

We enjoyed ourselves at the restaurant for our 2 children’s graduation (middle school and high school). The food was awesome and service was equally good. I was disappointed that they didn’t offer the graduates any concession even a slice of cake to celebrate their success. They said that their restaurant doesn’t have offer a concession for celebrants. We still had a good time but it would have been better is the celebrates were made to feel special. I would return again however, not for a celebration like birthdays or graduations.
