Gabrielle Restaurant New Orleans
Service was impeccable. Food is as good as any in the city. Nice atmosphere.
The pork chop entree was excellent! Crab cake was also excellent. We prefer SC she crab soup , but we are from SC. Service is impecable!
I would recommend Gabrielle to all my friends! The food and service at Gabrielle are both excellent and it is one of our absolute favorite restaurants in New Orleans. Go, eat everything, then go back for more!
An outstanding meal in every way possible!! From the pre dinner cocktails to the fabulous desserts everything was exceptional. The service was fabulous, the food divine, and the ambiance friendly and low key. As we left the restaurant we were already planning to go back ASAP!!
Delicious food, friendly and professional wait staff, and cozy environment made for a memorable dinner experience.
Only been a couple times a while back. Took my daughter here before a comedy show. The server Victor is the most memorable part of the experience. Great conversationalist And just the right amount of brief visits to the table. From somebody in the customer service business I’d be proud to hire him.
Gabrielle's is consistently one of the best restaurants in New Orleans. I've never been disappointed, and often choose it for celebration dinners.
Best New Years Eve dinner ever. The food was delicious, service efficient and every one was so friendly,
It was like a gathering of friends.
Perhaps the regular menu is better but the New Years Eve PreFix menu left much to be desired. The raw oysters with caviar and champagne shooter were highlight. The second course was very basic and small.
The main courses were the most disappointing. The lamb portion was good, although quite small. The prime rib was more of a steak. Overall, way overpriced for $75 a head.
I'm sad this was my first experience there but probably won't go back to see if it gets betters.
Wonderful ambiance and delicious food. The wine list was very good as well.
Really charming place with a comfortable atmosphere. Food is innovative and delicious. An extensive wine list and friendly customer service completes it all.
Food was decent but not worth the prices. $20 appetizer, $8 salad that wasn't included with the entrée. Portion size was OK. Service very good. Good happy hour specials.
Personnel & ambiance are excellent.menu just a bit short for lunch - needs just 3 or 4. More items - including another meal salad & sandwich or wrap,
We had a lovely pre-theater lunch at Gabrielle.
Lively Wednesday night. The goat cheese salad is more olives and less lettuce but good. The special was whole trout with beurre blanc and spinach. It was too salty for my taste. A generous portion. Nice cocktail and wine selection.
This restaurant seems tired..... (it isn't that old is it?).She crab soup was great-out of four entrees ordered only one person enjoyed their food. Pork chop dish was convoluted -too many ingredients. Beet salad did not use fresh beets.....my fish dish was greasy-crab cake too bready. Didn't finish half of the entree.I expected much more from this restaurant since it was one of our favorites pre-Katrina.
It was great. Our waitor, Victor was faboulous. !!!
Delicious meal with excellent service. Would have preferred a little more time between courses. Ate 4 courses in 1 hour & 10 minutes.
Impeccable service with great food in a cozy and friendly environment
I can’t write enough superlatives
highly recommend going
This was our first visit to Gabrielle since we're visitors to NOLA, and we really enjoyed it! As advertised, the quail gumbo is absolutely delicious and the anise component to the andouille really adds a new dimension to the flavor. We also really liked the bbq shrimp pie and the traiteur fish was great. We capped off the meal with a refreshing homemade peppermint ice cream and the Esplanade & Mystery Street cocktail was light and tasty. Service was warm and engaging and we'd happily recommend!
Awesome place! Great food! Great people!! We’ll be back!
Food and service never disappoint and that they’ve added a Reveillon lunch made it extra special. .
Absolutely fantastic! So glad I finally made it here and can’t wait to come back frequently.
Food was delicious. Our waiter, John, was knowledgable and extra helpful. Great dining experience.
Wonderful service, fantastic quail gumbo, beautifully prepared fish, exceptional duck. This is a hidden gem.
Amazing meal! Outstanding service!
With three other diners. We had the pork chops, lamb, duck, and trout entrees. All were excellent with large portions. Great meal with excellent service.
I discovered this place last year and it is amazing and off the charts. The barbecue shrimp pie and the duck entrée are the best I’ve ever tasted.
She crab soup and the duck soup starters were the best. Double pork chop was good but on dry side. The fish dish from the menu was a skimpy size filet that decreased value of overall food experience. Wine and cocktails were very good. Our lady hostess and waitress were very professional and helpful. The male waiter was not.
Our waiter, Patty, provided great suggestions on food and drink selection. We had the night's appetizer special, which was a oyster, artichoke bake. It was very tasty. My wife had the fish of the day, which was a drum that was sitting on top of crabcake. I had the duck, which was very flavorful. We closed the meal out with apple upside-down bread pudding. This was a great meal. I will definitely come again.
This is one of my favorite restaurants of all time. This visit didn’t disappoint. The duck and rabbit were world class
What a treasure! Our best dining experience during this New Orleans visit!
Excellent and friendly service. Flavorful gumbo with the best tasting sausage. I will be going back the next time I'm in New Orleans.
We love Gabrielle! Our neighborhood favorite. Nelson is so friendly and remembers us each time we visit.
Our server, Katherine, was great-/friendly,accommodating, and professional. We thought the crab bisque was too thin, and that it didn’t have enough crab. The tomatoes in the tomato salad were cold and therefore tasteless. If not for those two factors we would give the food and the value higher ratings
Good food good service. A little more noise than I like
Rediscovered this gem. I hadn't been before, but my wife had in their earlier incarnation. Everything was fabulous. The food was great. The only thing we might comment on was to get the specials to the diners before they order drinks as it may change the drink order. Like everywhere in New Orleans, parking was a little challenge, but not to be a problem. Our server was prompt and very conscientious. Definitely a 'go-back' place.
The food and service was excellent!
Gabrielle was wonderful! So glad they are open for lunch on Fridays!
Good not distinctive. Need more seafood, veggie options. Presentations were lacking. Really wanted to love this place but...
