Very expensive meal. Three items included squash, so very little variety. We were charged for extra gravy after paying $105 for the meal. How tacky!

Stars say it all. I don't know why chefs are pushed or choose to make holiday menus. If the restaurant had stuck to their regular offerings I'm sure I would have liked it better and been more impressed. No one wants to spend $105 for a three course turkey dinner....

It took about 30 mins from when our appetizer was cleared for our entrees to be brought out.Only twice did our server say it would be right out while we saw him and several other staff walk by who could have helped the problem. Then on the second time he explained the ticket computer messed up him firing the check to the kitchen. The food came out looking like it was quickly moved off another plate with about half the food it should have had. The quality of food was not worth the $105 per plate pre fix menu. We will never be returning or recommending because of very poor service and quality of food.

The server Sarah, was outstanding. We engaged in several conversations about the menu. The guests setting next to me was from Pawleys island and we engaged in several conversations. The menu was $$$ for a 3 course dinner. The food was plentiful and tasty. Great Thanksgiving dinner.

Delightful Thanksgiving menu, impeccably prepared and presented! Delicious to the last bite! I had the snapper, complemented with a curry sauce and my husband had the turkey dinner. We both enjoyed the uniquely prepared apple salad as a starter. Our waiter, JD, made us feel welcome and well cared for! Great Thanksgiving Day experience!

For a Thanksgiving treat, we went to Gabrielle...it was ok! Will not return or recommend to friends...
1. Menu choices were limited plus poorly done, i.e. butternut quash soup, side and dessert, plus, side sweet carrots. Turkey was dense/hard and in large cuts. Snapper had head and was bony.
2. Ambiance limited since no view and staring at the wall of curtains.
3. Very expensive for the dinner and drinks. Not a good value.
4. Filthy women's restroom plus only 3 of 4 stalls worked.
There are too many better restaurants in Charleston to waste our money again.

Wonderful food and service by Cody. We had butternut squash soup, tuna carpaccio made to perfection and very family friendly! Winner!! Excellent wine selection and entrees (risotto was impeccable), the best sprouts I’ve had and superb filets. We tried 4 side (broccoli rabe, potatoes were amazing and corn bread)…. To top off the chocolate dessert and poached fruit was amazing, alongside with a hot cup
Of perfect capuccino on a cold evening!! Wow! Certainly hope to dine with them again! Thank you!!

We chose Gabrielle as a special date night while visiting Charleston and it did not disappoint. Our server, JD, was so kind, attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu and area. We had the tuna carpaccio, filet, scallops, and Brussels sprouts. All were top notch. Bleu cheese-stuffed olives in your martini are a must! We will never forget this meal and experience.

Love the food… service was perfect.

The interior design is lacking. It is cold and stark.

It is a shame because it really is a 10 otherwise. Its as if the owners pulled the plug on any design at all..

Terrible chandelier as the only piece of art…

In a city like Charleston.. no excuse for no art!

It took 45 minutes to receive our entree—much too long! However, the food was very good. We were disappointed in the ambiance—we expected a more fine dining experience.

The staff was lovely. No complaints.

The food was less- very small portions. Usually not an issue for me, but the tuna carpaccio consisted of 4 very thin, small slices. Tasted good- but there was practically nothing there.

The flounder dish was much better and delicious.

The noise level was Loud. Not sure if it is because the dining room is connected with the bar area. There is a private dining area that appears perfect for larger groups.

We will probably return. As I sai

We have been here several times before and it was always good. The current staff and menu is not up to its previous reputation nor would I recommend them any longer. I also called more then once to speak to the GM or Food and Beverage Mgr. I was finally called by a very nice person on their behalf. They should have just called me themselves.

Salad was great but…rib-eye was too rare and it was 16 oz and waiter said it was good for two people and we we charged for two people 75. A piece instead of the price on menus of 75$. Not worth the money it was just ok

Let me start out by saying this… the food was absolutely divine. Probably some of the best I’ve had in Charleston. However, service was beyond slow. We had dinner reservations at 5:20pm. They open for dinner at 5pm. When we arrived we were seated in the back of the dining room and there was no one else there. It was fine considering the time. We know we ate early, we just had plans so we had to eat an early dinner. What made it a unfortunate experience is that our server, didn’t check in with us very often at all. He didn’t offer to fill our glasses, or replaced our alcohol. And yes he got two other tables over the course of our dinner, but they were directly next to us in our section. Often times he’d help them, but not come check on us. We had to call him down a few times and so did the four-top table behind us. For a restaurant to this caliber I was not expecting that at all. Additionally, I understand they were making a new fall menu but it took 40 minutes for our meal to come out. Then we ordered dessert, which we were told was pre-made in the morning by the pastry chef, and would take no time to come. It still took 20 minutes. For a dinner for two, we left at 7:20pm, two hours after we arrived and only had a two course meal. The restaurant was far from sold out, and I know that everyone is short staffed, I truly do. My job is especially struggling so I can completely empathize there, but for a dinner that cost as much as it did, and from a hotel that was just listed as the best in the world by Condé Nast for 2021, I expected better service. So my advice to others is, until they work out their kinks, plan for a couple hours for a small dinner or a few hours more for more. The food is exceptional it really is and beautifully laid out as well. The service was just poor so just be aware.

The meal does not match the grand decor of the hotel. The squash soup was cloyingly sweet. The scallops were well cooked but lost the crispy sear with the citrus topping and underneath was the overly sweet squash again. The sweetness of the scallops was overwhelmed by it. The ribeye was well cooked but tough. The Dauphinoise potatoes desperately needed salt. The cheesecake dessert was lemony sponge cake at best. It was edible but not the experience we expected. So disappointing. The superstar was the mussels. We would come back for drinks at the bar and the mussels.

One of the few restaurants we could book at the last minute for a birthday celebration. Good but uninspiring fare. Steak was excellent but flounder special and shrimp and grits were dull and flavorless. Waitstaff was poorly trained and not very accommodating. Seated next to another large table in an alcove when the rest of the restaurant was wide open. Would still be a questionable recommendation if the food was half the price, but given the cost, one of the poorest values in Charleston. Do not recommend.
