Founder, Kurt Zdesar has scoured the length and breadth of Italy and the UK to source the very best produce to create innovative, yet wholesome dishes. Working with the best of what is in season, and only using produce at peak condition, the food at Fucina is as nourishing as it is delicious. Although the menu is derived from traditional recipes Fucina represents a new wave of Italian cooking in London, elevating simple ingredients to umami-rich creations. Fucina serves handmade pasta, rolled just before service made from stone ground, wholemeal flour that’s naturally fermented.

Chef’s table accommodates up to 14 people with customised menu and is accessed via a staircase that wraps around the walk-in wine room where diners will be able to select wines from the predominantly Italian wine list. The floor to ceiling glass wall between the private dining room and kitchen provides guests with a chef’s table experience observing the drama of the open kitchen and also the wood-fired pit.

The place was excellent, the food and service were of the highest quality. We’re looking forward to coming back to the restaurant in the near future. Highly recommended.

The food was excellent however we felt the service let them down . We tried on numerous occasions to get the attention of a waiter or waitress- not one made eye contact or acknowledged us. One waiter was on his mobile phone in the restaurant which I have never seen before. Even paying after getting the bill took time.

We had a romantic Sunday lunch at Fucina in Marylebone. The restaurant opened a couple of years ago and the room is still superb. There is an olive tree in the middle and the whole place is just interestingly decorated. Mediterranean style. Now the rest of the experience was good, but I would argue that Fucina is a pretty expensive place and I am not entirely sure about the value proposition. Service was fine, nice waiter albeit when we asked for suggestions we were not blown away. As far as the food is concerned, ingredients were clearly of top quality, but we thought every dish was quite classic. Very nice, but a bit too classic and lacking originality, especially at this price. So to summarise, a nice lunching experience, you will spend a good time, but I think maybe a bit too pricey.

Good location for quick business lunch. Sadly my starter consisted of stale bread. I pointed this out and received a free Espresso. Somewhat noisy due to roadworks (not their fault). Have been before and will go back. LOVE the big olive tree inside the reataurant.

Exquisite Italian foods- the crab linguine excellent, a veal chop that would happily parade in any brilliant restaurant in Italy. Good but quite pricey wine list.
