We attended the Saint Benedict Dinner and it was a wonderful experience. Each course and paired wine were explained and everything was delicious. The careful planning of each dish to follow Saint Benedict’s belief in not eating any animal with 4 legs and simple ingredients lead to a delightful meal. Eating at shared tables and meeting new people made for a wonderful experience. Learning about the mission behind this restaurant from the 3 friars that joined us was great.

First time dining here. Went after a matinee performance at Playhouse Square. We were seated in the bar area. Started with a mushroom tart (delicious), we enjoyed rigatoni, pork and lamb entrees. Our server John was personable and friendly. Chef gave us great recommendations. We're looking forward to coming again.

Our reservation was for 4 p.m. but Hamilton ran over (we didn't know) so we arrived around 4:15. Staff welcomed us despite our delay. My husband loved his salad and I loved my lamb with beans and fennel (who knew fennel could be so yummy). The borscht is Ukrainian style, not Russian. I don't usually like Ukrainian borscht but this was lovely. We asked for dessert recommendations and we loved the mixed berry with cream. My husband got the fruit cake, which was very rich. Service was excellent! The food and mission are tops!

Our party tried a variety of dishes and all were delicious. Food was different from the typical fare. Desserts are worth the splurge. Portions were reasonable not huge so folks had room for dessert. Warning though to people who like large portions. The services and hosts were very pleasant and relocated our table away from the bar at our family’s request. Surprisingly it was not crowded pre theatre on a weekday evening.

Four of us went before going to see a show, and we all ordered something different (Pork, lamb, chicken, and vegetable lasagna) Everyone said their meal was delicious. They were even raving about it on the way home hours later.

Was so excited to try this place and was so sad it fell flat. I had the saffron chicken which tasted like it was soaked in gin. My sister had the pork which was better but the au gratin potatoes served with it were cold. Our server was also the hostess and was drinking an iced beverage from a gas station. The whole experience was weird. Additionally, the restaurant looks incomplete. They could have taken this concept and made it fun and dark, but instead half of it still looks like Cowell and Hubbard and then there's one large painting and one stained glass window in an otherwise too bright and open space. Best part was the wine served in the old fashion pitcher and glasses.

Good food and good service although when we were there on Saturday (6/28/25) for dinner, there appeared to be a shortage of staff to help deliver food and clear tables after patrons had left. Overall we still think it's a nice place to go for dinner after a Saturday theater matinee. Stan and Carol from Strongsville

Well, we were really looking forward to this for a relaxing dining experience prior to theatre outing First, we were parked by front door, lots of traffic. They kindly moved us away from there. Then our server came over and we requested ice tea w/sugar and some ice and lemon for my water. When she came back by, we asked if she could fix the wobble on our table and she told us we could do it ourselves. After that, we waited about 10 more minutes for our drinks we ordered. She came in our area to serve other tables but did not acknowledge us. We finally left and found somewhere else to eat that seemed interested in our business.
