We had a nc outside table and while it was warm, there was a fan and mister for our table. The server was charming sais the owner. Before we left, we took a peek inside to find a lovely, spacious dining area. Will definitely b back!
The food was wonderful and the waitstaff was very attentive. We ate under tent in patio, which was not the ideal circumstances but it was one of the most enjoyable meals I have had since COVID
With these hard times, I think they overall did a good job.
owners very attentive....great patio tent set up.....under circumstances w Covid....escargot was good ... few a bit chewy but good.....duck was good but brussel sprouts a bit hard n needed more sauce.....scallops were excellent.....desserts good.....servuce wad excellent......I ll be back again
Food was delicious and Louis was very attentive. We look forward to another meal. Duck confit and beef bourguignon were excellent
Great food and excellent service, delicious rotisserie chicken. Fabulous desert!
The dinner was excellent. Very good value for the food. I especially recommend the infused wines---they were refreshing on a summer evening.
Fabulous! The watermelon salad is the best salad I've ever had!
Ambiance: this wonderful venue has just opened their inside/outside venue! The outdoor tables are surrounded by artistic white awnings and cooled with "mister-fans".
The extreme outside heat was better than tolerable when we dined there Thursday evening.
Kudos to the owners and gracious wait staff. XOXO
The meals were excellent! The staff was beyond nice. Highly recommended!
The service was exceptional as was the food. One of the most delightful evenings we have had in the midst of COVID. We loved the white tablecloths and beautiful glassware and water bottles. Everything felt elegant
Fantastic selection of salads. We chose the watermelon salad, which was ideal for the hot weather. Service was quick, friendly and attentive.
This seems to be a special place that not everyone knows about in Palm Desert. Signage off 111 would certainly help, and when you find this gem, it should be a go to restaurant for fine French cuisine.
We had the cold asparagus soup and creamy delightful goodness comes to mind. I had the Barata salad so well put together and truly creamy cheese.
We had a mix fr9m the vol au vent chicken, so well done and flavorful. Additionally we had the sumptuous scallops and beef burgundy. All loved their food.
Even having to eat outside, they made the experience special, with excellent coverage, friendly and helpful suggestions and home made desserts I’d simply say order many.
All in all, a great place to dine.
Fabulous watermelon salad, mussels, fries, scallops, vegetable plate. A great bottle of wine. Still thinking about every delicious bite. Owners are charming and hands on. Really yummy.
Ambiance lacking d/t Covid-19 patio dining.
But EVERYTHING was excellent!
Very safe Covid-19 service! Tables were well distanced, no foot traffic of people walking back and forth. Masks were worn and were fitted, not loose. It was slightly warm but as soon as the cool water and baguettes were served, our minds were in the food. The bread was perfection. Hard, crisp crust. Our waiter, Luis, and the hostess, Fabienne, (not sure of the spelling) spent time with us discussing the wines and menu. I was going to order the Chicken and mushroom in puffed pastry, but asked how the boeuf bourguignon was and I was told it was classic, slow style, so I switched and so glad I did. It was incredible with many layers of flavor. My guest had the Duck Confit and he cleaned his plate and I did make him share a bit if au gratin...fabulous. We finished by splitting peach Melba which had firm, crisp peaches. Just sublime. We will be back! We had a 8:30 seating and were the last table out and we were not rushed at all!!! To find a beautiful, romantic evening out, French patio style, in the height of all this Covid mess was a blessing from God.
Great food. No misters on the patio!
Had an excellent dinner here on 4th of July. Service was excellent. Friendly and attentive staff. The vol-au-vent was so tasty!!! We will be back for sure.
I had dinner, here, on 7/3/20, right after the re-ban of indoor dining. Even in the shade, it was incredibly hot. They brought out a large fan, though it didn't make a difference from where I was sitting. Otherwise, the Owner & staff were very friendly and courteous. I had the baked chevre salad & the scallops in a mushroom reduction with asparagus. Everything was delicious and prepared exceptionally well. I will eat here, again.
The restaurant was very pretty inside with tables appropriately spaced and separated by lovely carved screens. The owners and staff couldn’t have been nicer, very friendly and attentive to our needs. The food was wonderful and totally authentic. We were visiting from out of town, but will add this restaurant to the “short list” of places we always eat when we are in town. Superb!
Really enjoyed the entire experience at this restaurant. The owners spent time with my husband and I as my husband speaks French. The waitress was excellent friendly and energetic and the food amazing. A more intimate experience and a good value.
The perfectly executed classic French cuisine, sophisticated ambiance, and personal attention by the Café's owners make for a delightful dining experience. We will be back!
I felt perfectly safe dining there during Covid!
The ambiance is calming, with plenty of separation between the tables with the use of lovely screens and plants. The food is fresh and authentically French and the service was extremely attentive. A true gem in the desert!
Excellent! My wife and I shared the scallops dish and the beef bourguignon, and the Cesar said, and all were excellent. Lisa said “I can’t remember when I had such a great meal". Excellent service, friendly, delightful outside dining options (we ate outside) wonderful staff. Please support this business. You will love this place!
This restaurant is a little gem. The food is very French and delicious, and they have partitioned off each dining area in an elegant way to comply with COVID regulations.
We were delighted to discover this charming restaurant in Palm Desert. It's in a strip mall, but once you are inside it is like you've been whisked away to Paris. The lovely owners, Fabienne and Luis, welcomed us like family. The food is delicious. I'm not a big eater and have a severe dairy allergy, so it's usually difficult for me to eat in French restaurants but they were very accomodating. I ordered a (vegan) soup and an ahi appetizer and had leftovers for lunch the next day. Our server was gracious and didn't try to upsell us, which I appreciated. My husband loved his French onion soup and small but rich entree of seafood in puff pastry. The floor plan has been arranged well to allow for social distancing and we felt safe in spite of it being our first dinner out since the lockdown in March. We will definitely be back.
Absolutely amazing. Everything we ordered was delicious: chicken soup, escargot, palm salad, duck, entrecote and fries. The service was outstanding as well. Covid-19 safety regulations were followed. First visit, but certainly not last.
We always love going to The French Rotisserie. Luis and Fabienne are the most gracious hosts and so welcoming. The food is exquisite and Luis really knows his wines! Our favorite find in the desert!
We had a lovely dinner celebrating a birthday. The food was very good. They had just opened again after the Covid restrictions and were getting used to the new normal for now.
We enjoyed the watermelon salad, french onion soup, mussels, and duck confit.
Great dinner and evening. Whole staff was attentive the food was excellent perfect wine pairing with our meal. We definetly go back when visiting.
I love the new location and the way they are dealing with customer safety issues.
We enjoyed the ambiance, the service, and the cuisine.
They worked hard to welcome us during adversed time.
Wonderful food and service and felt very safe with their spacing and hygiene protocols.
One of our favorite restaurants, The French onion soup and rotisserie chicken are outstanding. For a change of pace, ordered the Beef Stew and it was so tender you did nt need a knife. Save room for one of their yummy deserts!
While we were in quarantine, we ordered food several times from this restaurant and it was always fabulous. Once they opened to dine in, we were so excited to return. My husband had their chicken dinner at the restaurant which we had every time we ordered online from them but it is so good, he couldn't resist having it again. He also had the chicken soup which is outstanding. Their salads, entrees, french bread, desserts are all simply delicious. You couldn't find a better meal in Paris. Do yourself a favor and go to this wonderful fine dining establishment.
Great food even though it was slow. Riots, covoid 19, what else can happen? Pate, escargot, chicken, gelato and a very good french white and we were set for the night.
Give them a try. We are not easily pleased. We tried them in La Quinta before they moved. Happy they are still in the valley.
This restaurant has gone above and beyond to keep customers and employees safe. Very wonderful!
The place is lovely, the food delucious AND they have taken every precaution possible to keep their guests safe. Crisp white table cloths, individual bottles of santitizers, sceened ofd area for private dining, individual bottled water, servers wear sheids over their madks and are delightful, they've thought of eveeything.
Great people, great food. Service is a little slow but they were busy
Excellent food excellent ambience, the staff was warm and friendly. I would highly recommend this to all of my friends
Excellent, French at French, with French! The Pate was incroyable !!!!
