   Food was simply not good. Not fresh, no care in preparation. Server was confused over and over again about our order and requests. Avoid this spot.

   A friend recommended the French Quarter Brasserie to me last week, so my wife and I decided to try it out yesterday for brunch. The food was beyond delicious! The service matched the quality of the food. Sherry was very pleasant and so was the owner. However, we were devastated when the owner told us it was the last day for cajun food. They are switching to pizza and burgers. Oh well, we just ordered a ton of food to go Lol.

   Service was slow and they charged the recipe for the shrimp and shrimp grits. I won’t be back.

   Rarely have we eaten such terrible food. We did not finish our meals even though we were hungry. My cup of gumbo soup was a muddle of shredded chicken and such hot peppers I could not taste anything else. The shrimp and grits had a sauce that tasted like ketchup with additional sugar and was almost as hot as the gumbo. But the restaurant was nearly empty at midday, our waitress was very agreeable, and the beer was cold and good. Looked like a place where undergrads could have a good time drinking on Saturday night, but Open Table is full of places much, much better as a place to eat.

   The food was good. Gluten free options are limited so I could not eat many items. What I had was good, but as a Gluten free eater, I will not go back. People are very nice and service was good.

   We visited French Quarter Brasserie for lunch on a Saturday. We have lived in New Orleans for several years and are very familiar with Cajun cooking. Hence we were looking forward to our visit. But this place was a complete disappointment as it is un-authentic Cajun food. If the restaurants in the French Quarter in New Orleans started selling this kind of food, the French Quarter would be desolate. We started with appetizers. Had the Slap Yo’ Mama shrimp which was pretty tasty. But the Crawfish Mac & cheese balls were mostly fried Mac & cheese with hardly any crawfish in it. The scallop gumbo was white in color and tasted and looked more like clam chowder instead of gumbo. For the main entrees, we ordered jambalaya which tasted more like tomato rice instead of jambalaya. The cajun chicken pasta had no cajun taste to it. The chicken was pretty much like boiled chicken with no flavor and the spaghetti noodles was a disaster. We ate a couple of bites of the pasta and had to bail on it. The crawfish étouffée did not meet the mark either. For dessert the classic beignets were a disaster as well. Overall the menu is very overpriced for the quality. We will not be visiting this place again.

   We were told that there were no tables available in the dining room-even though we had reservations. So much for getting my 100 points! We sat in the bar area where it took quite a long time to get menus. After 15 minutes we were told that they didn’t have the appetizer that we ordered. My husband ordered a second beer-which we reminded the server 3x-and it never was served. When we got the food it was cold-not even room temperature. Terrible experience. Stay far away!!!

   Food was good . But I was disappointed in the dessert . I ordered beignets for our table and it tasted awful .

    Food and atmosphere were amazing. The crawfish mac and cheese balls are it! Decor is New Orleans right on the mark.
