Frank's Louisiana Kitchen
Thank you all for being the favorite part about my trip to Louisiana!
Good Experience with exception of slow service. Took an hour to get food at the tail end of Jazz Brunch when crowd had thinned out.
We were seated immediately. Our waiter was friendly, got our drinks quickly, took our entree order in a timely manner. Food was great. Always enjoy Frank’s.
Travelers. I was told how great the shrimp po-boys were. Was not disappointed. Took four off thr sandwich, and ate them like an extra. Perfectly cooked too. wife had shrimp and grits (her favorite). Was excellent except she didn’t share. Delicious sausage in them too.
The food was delicious as always! The biggest disappointment remains the level of service. The waitress was slow, and not very attentive. Drinks from the bar were extremely slow, and the staff seemed preoccupied with an event on the TV! No supervision was seen. This is one of the better places to eat in Shreveport, but sadly continues to be an issue here in what would otherwise be a fine experience.
Valentines. Our waiter was fantastic. No rushing us but very attentive
Crab claws for the appetizer were great, along with the 2 drinks me and my wife ordered. However, my dinner entree I ordered (Duck Confit) was severely overcooked. Almost to a dry beef jerky texture. And my wife’s BBQ Shrimp was also overcooked. The atmosphere and everything else about the restaurant was great.
Jackson our server was great! Our favorite appetizer was the crab cakes. Entrees were both a slight miss in my opinion especially the shrimp and grits. We both really liked the flourless chocolate cake with cherry sauce.
Great evening. Early dinner. Fantastic server, food, everything.
Had a fairly large group (9), but our waitress handled it with ease and a great attitude. Food was excellent and the added bonus of happy hour was icing on the cake.
This was a bad night. I ordered filet. It was not good-tough and tasteless. A bad cut of meat. The brussel sprouts were literally unrecognizable. I have been here before and had a good experience, but this wasn’t one of them. I hope this is not their new norm
Hit the place the day after the Super Bowl so there was no crowd at all. Great crab cakes and blackened redfish. Portions are not huge but the food quality is top notch.
Surprise neighborhood eatery which offered much more in the way of choices than I would have expected. It was obvious by the constant traffic that we weren’t the only ones to appreciate the change from chains without having to travel for a good dining experience.
The food was delicious!!!
Great service and food!!!
Very disappointed in Service. Food was good, but Shrimp and Grits was cool/warm when finally arrived.
Took a very long time to get food - and as noted not hot.
Had to get up and ask manager to check on meal since the waiter was hard to find...Later advised there as a large party.., etc. I am sorry but that is no excuse for poor service. Had to beg to get check so we could leave...arrived at 7:15 - finally left around 9:45. Gumbo, Shrimp & Grits, etc. no desert. Doubt I will go back.
The food was unexpected, but seemed very "Louisiana cajun" authentic. The server, Kelly, was attentive and helpful. In short, fine dining at a relatively steep price.
Otimo restaurante em Shreveport, comida tipica do sul dos Estados Unidos, vale a pena conferir.
This was a casual business dinner and Frank's did not disappoint.
Alicia was a great server - she was attentive without hovering.
We both ordered and enjoyed the shrimp and grit, but the highlight of the meal was the crab, spinach and artichoke dip. It was outstanding!!
Kudos on a fine experience.
Cocktails and Oysters Bienville are superb!
This place is a bit out of town. VERY Well worth the trip. Started with gulf oysters. Very tastee. They carry about five varieties besides local gulf oysters. Next cane the crab artichoke dip. It was rich and the crab was plentiful. The taste was amazing. Generous portions or you could eat it for a small meal. It came with a small salad as garnish, along with toasted bread. My uncle ate the black and blue salad. I was so jealous. Medium rare iron steak sliced and placed on an amazing field or greens. Very large portion. Wife and I both ate shrimp and grits with andouille sausage that had to be homemade. OMG it had Asiago cheese on top. Plentiful portion to accompany the dip from earlier. Without a doubt this was the BEST that I have ever had. Hands down. Very rich! Amazing food. Lastly my brother ate the seafood salad which had crab, shrimp and several other items that escape me. It was more like a seafood plate. Limited salad that I recall. We were much to full for desert. However one of the best treats were the four dollar martinis at happy hour. Big pours. They also have a few bucks off tap beer. There were probably ten on tap. The bar was extensive. Several other items on happy hour. Our waiter was incredibly courteous and extremely well versed on every item on the menu and service was five star. This will now be our “go to” seafood place. They also have steaks, duck and many other amazing looking dishes. The table next to us had a massive shrimp Poboy. Maybe next trip. This place is a gem. They also have outside seating.
Good food, great service - a good time was had by all.
New menu contains old favorites with some new options. I had Duck gumbo which from a Yankee perspective was excellent! The Pork Parmesan crusted steak was tasty, but a little dry. Overall still one of the best places to eat in the Shreveport area.
Always enjoyed eating at Franks but this time the food wasn't up to its standard. Our oyster Bienville were luke warm. Cheese not melted. My husband always gets the fish. This time the pecan crusted fish was over cooked and the size wouldn't even cover a piece of bread. Maybe six bites. The string beans were very salty and it look like they used an ice cream scoop to do the grits. But my oyster salad was very good. The drinks were very good.
Enjoyed the experience, food, and watching LSU game. Waitress was exceptional.
Great service. Food was very good and prices were fair. Would recommend and return again
If I were to make any negative comment would be how we were seated. There was 8 of us and the seating was bench on one side of table where 4 people sat and the 4th person barely had room to put his plate. The service was good but our table was filled with empty cups and saucers and glasses making it difficult when we were trying to receive our food. Wait staff finally began removing because we would hand the empty dishes to them. We love Frank's Louisiana Kitchen. The food, the wait staff and the entire restaurant is such fun. The music was great for the brunch. Loved it!!!
Food was undercooked ie raw fish.
Appetizers were good
Took over 2 hours to eat a meal
Worst dining experience ever
It took us almost an hour to get our food after we ordered. One of the wait staff did come by and tell us this was the worst night they’ve had in a long, long time. Our waitress was very nice. We had reserved a table & thus had no wait for a table on our arrival.
My son and I went to the restaurant with no real expectations what the food would be like other than of the Cajun type. I ordered the Shrimp Étouffée, tasty but I rather small portion for the price.
My son ordered the flat iron steak, he said it was flavorful, priced about what I would expect. For dessert he had their cheesecake which he enjoyed thoroughly.
Our waiter was excellent, quite attentive.
Very good food, no one in our party had been there and all of us loved it
I have had many delicious meals here in the past. Unfortunately, I ordered the wrong thing this time. The steak on the black & blue salad was gristly and too tough to eat. I, literally, could not chew it. The waiter offered to bring me something else, so I ordered a cup of gumbo, which was tasty, but too spicy. Next time, I'll stick with the tried and true favorites - oysters or redfish! This one bad experience will not keep me from returning to Frank's.
Excellent food and wine (and Wine Wednesday makes the wine choice even better). Ellis is an excellent server--he didn't rush us when we wanted to sip on wine before placing our food order.
Super pleasant service...great food!!!
Made reservations for dinner at 7:15. Places in back room. Although it was quiet and service was fine, we felt excluded from the dinner scene. Almost feel you should get a discount for being seated back there. Should definitely let you know prior to showing up!
The food was outstanding! However the wine list has a lot to be desired. !!
The food was amazing the restaurant was very pretty and great service
Casual week night to meet old friends and catch up on life
