    Would’ve appreciated a true recommendation rather than saying “this wine is good” from the server. Wanted more detail on the tasting notes. Markup was high, but about typical for a “wine bar”. I didn’t find the selection too appealing, but the wine served was decent and it was good to branch out and try some Spanish reds. The atmosphere was lovely and always is. I believe the GM/owner delivered the charcuterie board and went into detail about everything on the plate- which I absolutely adored. He always does a lovely job and I appreciate seeing him there. I’ll be back again.

    Visited with family for a birthday celebration. I would visit again when I'm in Phoebus, particularly just for a glass of wine. Pros - big wine selection, nice decor/atmosphere, attentive and prompt service. Cons - out of stock on many of the wines, limited food offerings, cost of certain meals seemed excessive, a little too warm in the restaurant (granted, we visited on a very hot day), and tables are a bit too close together.

    I love Foxtail, I go often and I love taking friends here. Last night was NOT the best as far as service and once we got our bills we were confused ok no the price. Our server didn’t inform us of pricing for certain things and we felt a bit crazy after spending over $300 for three people. I will be back but I may ask for a different server next time ‘

    Our smokey bourbon cocktail was excellent . Food, service, wine selections, wonderful. Our waitress was very helpful! We had a wonderful dinner! We shared the crab bread appetizer, yummy. And then the main courses and sides, everything, excellent. Stood up to the stellar reviews I read previous to our visit! We will be back!

    We were not happy with the request that we provide a credit card prior to being served our food. We have all traveled extensively for many years and have never experienced such a request in the US or in other countries. Our group was non-white and we felt that we were being profiled by the management of this restaurant. The food was good but the unheard of request for a credit card prior to the arrival of our meal should be a warning to other prospective patrons of this establishment.

    Our Hostess Destiny and Sara was awesome and provided the best hospitality for our party of 4. The food was prepared excellently even though it was quite a wait. It was worth the wait. Our meals were delicious and perfectly prepared:crab cake was pure crab no filler; grass fed/grass finish beef was cooked divinely at the perfect temperature medium well, you don’t need steak sauce it was just that good; lobster macaroni cheese…it should be called loaded lobster cheesy macaroni, the entree is for one but 2 people can enjoy this delicacy..hmmmmmmm lip smacking GOOD. My compliments to the Chef…You did a fantastic job..keep up the excellent (no pressure) presentation/preparation/quality of fantastic ingredients. This place is surely “from farm to table” organic ingredients by local farmers. We will see you soon. White party of 4 05/16/2022

    Food and drinks were good. Service was a bit off with staff leaving things on the table on accident and another staff rolling silverware a foot away from us. But overall a good dinner. Would go again.

    The food is delicious just need to be patient as the kitchen is small and it takes a while to get your order. The wine selection is amazing and the staff is very knowledgeable on the variety. A little on the pricey side but a perfect spot for date night, girls night etc. Would recommend reservations in advance as the area is very small.

    Love the wine bar - the wine list is diverse and the food is excellent. Minor complaint was with a 5:15 reservation, they were kicking us off the table by 6:30, leaving no time for dessert. Would recommend a 2-hour window if you have a reservation so as not to rush patrons out the door when the rest of service is so evenly paced.

    A small place with EXCELLENT food. We loved everything, but the spicy crab dip was the highlight. Also enjoyed the cocktails very much. The staff was very friendly. Although I am only in town for 2 days, I plan to go back again.
