Food and server couldn't been better.
Great place for lunch.
Our fifth time back since the redo and most likely the last! Although the food was good, the service was not. We waited over an hour for our entrees to come and that was only because we asked the waitress were it was. Mind you, she never even noticed we didn’t have any food.
Off to the kitchen she went and there she waited for the food to be made. Her excuse was that after we had the salad, she never pressed a button to fire up the entrees. We would still be waiting if we hadn’t complained. If she spent less time socializing in the back room and more time circulating the dining floor perhaps this could have been avoided. Unfortunately, won’t be back, Groupon or not.
The food was good and so was the setting. Service was good though slow for food to come out. However it is a great looking spot for a nice cold beer on a summer day with a nice deck!
We had/t been to the Fox Barn since the remodel and we were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was great, the pub is amazing and the food was great. It was a great night out with delicious food and drinks. Nice open space. Can't wait to return in warm weather to sit out on the beautiful deck.
Food was good, we had a good time.
Our food was delicious with great portion size. The service was fabulous and made for a wonderful evening!!
A hidden gem! Delicious food & great atmosphere! We had lunch out on the newly renovated back patio & it was very nice. Will be great for summer evenings & cocktails! We both had blackened salmon salads- a very generous portion of salmon that was perfectly cooked & seasoned! Also had the smoked chicken quesadilla which was excellent. We will definitely be back!
This was our first visit since the change to Fox Barn, so the menu and dining area had changed. We still enjoyed the food and the service. But we much preferred the previous, more atmospheric, dining room to the current pub that has televisions running the whole way around the room. It is no longer a place to go to for a special occasion.
Fantastic food!! A must for everyone living in the Malvern area.
My friend and I went there about 2wks ago and it was so nice as far as the atmosphere, the newly done decor, the service was great and the food was absolutely delicious! Will be back again and again!
Just wonderful. Love it here! Food is so good, stuff is great
Remodel is outstanding!!! Just wait til you see it. French onion soup and fries was a comfort food nirvana!
I'm soooo rooting for this venue during these difficult times. They put a ton of money into a reno and their outdoor space is amazing!! Check it all out.
Had to ask for silverware and napkins. Given the wrong order. Asked for ketchup, never got it.
Hey Daniel, Im so sorry for your experience on Friday the 6th!! It was our second week of being open and we were surly unprepared for the business we received that evening (yet super happy to have had such a nice crowd). I really hope we didn't completely ruin your evening and I'd be grateful if you'd consider excepting a gift card from us and come give us a second chance. Please email me at FoxBarnEvents.Jess@gmail.
This was a very nice experience with good food and a great environment. My wife, daughter and I enjoyed a nice meal. I have been to this space many times over the years, and I really love the new, updated features. The outdoor space is excellent, and the indoor space is great. In short, this was better than expected, and I will absolutely be back.
It was my 27th Birthday and the food was phenomenal!
Delicious wood fired salmon and broccoli salad. Beautiful newly designed atmosphere with proper social distancing. We will be back. Have added Fox Barn Pub at Twenty9 to our go to list of restaurants. Give it a try! You’ll love it!
So glad that one of my favorite restaurants has reopened! The remodel turned out beautifully and the food and service are awesome! Looking forward to going back to try some more of the new menu items.
Chose to dine outside due to Covid. Great ambiance with bar area to be enclosed with a garage door for inclement weather. Soft seating groups as well as tables for outdoor dining. The inside decorations were welcoming and pub-like. The menu was varied with interesting group sharing items. An inviting addition to the upstairs restaurant. We definitely plan to return.
Average American food. Portions were adequate but overpriced. Won't return.
I was disappointed in the quality of our first experience at Twenty9. Both of our entrees were overcooked, the brussel sprout appetizer we ordered was burnt, and the short rib flatbread appetizer that was $14 included little to no short rib on each slice. For the amount we paid, I would have expected much better quality and value.
Ran out of fillet mignon
Strip steak had a funny earthy taste
Ran out of chowder soup
Two other soups ordered were warm/cool
Didn’t have the dessert listed on the menu
No concessions on price for all the errors.
The service was very good and so was the food except for the bread they served before the meal. It was flat bread and pretty tasteless as was the olive oil they served with it. We have been here before though and would go back.
We went on February 15th and booked our reservation on opentable. There was no indication that they were doing a Prix-fix menu the whole weekend for Valentine’s.
We like trying different places for dinner and wanted to try it based on their regular menu we reviewed on site. We’ll
Try again at some point.
Based on Valentine’s specials they over priced a a lot of you added up the menu offerings for the evening vs what they charged for per person and then options were basic and limiting.
We came to dinner on Valentine’s Day for a date. Food was amazing and we may have stayed longer if it wasn’t for the noise. We unfortunately did not enjoy our date due to the loud band playing. We couldn’t hear each other at all and were reduced to either yelling to have a conversation or just sitting frustrated that we couldn’t talk to each other. I felt awful because I waited too long to make a reservation locally and we actually traveled about 40 minutes to eat here. The room we sat in was suppose to be the quieter area but the constant in and out from the servers and people leaving and coming in was just as annoying. Just went from loud to louder. I can’t say anything negative about the service or food but I’d suggest to them starting the bands at 9 or later especially on Valentine’s Day when people want a romantic night out.
Wonderful way to spend our Anniversary/Valentine's Day. Had a great special for the night that we took full advantage of. Food portions were a good size and everything was delicious.
Good but not great. Went for lunch. Not very crowded which was nice. Would try it again for dinner. Probably gets loud at happy hour
Not as good as it used to be. Sent one dish back service was good.
Basically it came down to the fact that the food took forever to come out of the kitchen and it was cold. Not warm but cold.
We stopped here while in the area. Made a reservation online to avoid a wait. I will be back. I had the braised short ribs in red wine sauce. It was very very good. Husband has the filet, which was also a great piece of meat. I am picky about ordering beef out. Sometimes it’s sub par. I would order both again. I deducted a point for the crab risotto. It was flavorless and tasted like yesterday’s dish.
While not close to our home, we went to this restaurant because of a gift card. We found the service was prompt, helpful and outstanding. The live music was excellent (we kept commenting on this). Our steaks (filet and NY strip) and vegetables were very, very good. While we were on the older side of the other patrons, we did not feel out of place.
Chicken and shrimp were tough, pierogis not up to par.
We ordered martinis w cheese stuffed olives. Unfortunately, the olives were not edible-either the olive or the cheese. We also ordered the soup & appetizer specials - delicious! We split the rib eye special. Very good - perfectly cooked but slightly fatty. The service was excellent as was the ambiance.
Twenty9 was great. Delicious food especially short ribs and rigatoni with beef ribs. Nice wine and draft beer selection.
Usually one of our favorites but certainly not based on this experience. Our server was slow and inattentive. We were seated right in front of an extremely mediocre and very loud band. Granted, we could have requested a move but it was too difficult to find our server to request anything. Had to hunt him down to pay the bill.
Very nice evening. The food was very tasty and came out at all the right times. Our waiter was very attentive as well.
The menu was somewhat limited and the quality of the meal was overpriced for what we received. My boyfriend and I were looking forward to dining here for a while and were extremely disappointed! For the prices charged, the quality of the meals were just lacking and very disappointing. We will not be returning to dine there and sadly cannot recommend Twenty9.
The band was great. Our food did not come out at the same time. It was served Luke warm. Our waitress was pleasant but was covering too many tables.
While the food was very good, great menu and a new place for me, the food did take an exceedingly long time to come. There was only 10 other people in the entire restaurant.
I will try again when in the Malvern area and hope that the timing to get food next time is on par.
The food was excellent! We will definitely be returning!
